justbiglee 0 Posted September 22, 2014 Topic of conversation in the studio today was on achievements (don't start jumping to conclusions about where we are with the project - just a conversation we've been having about games in general). And I was just interested - What kinds of things would you like to see in an achievement list?Give us a few names, tell us how to unlock them and how much you think they should be worth. Also what achievements have you popped in other games that you really liked? Ruben Correa Alves 28 Posted September 22, 2014 Achievements that I would not like to see are those regular 'complete this championship' or 'reach level 20' achievements. I guess a couple could be implemented, but not too many. Achievements that I would like to see are achievements that have some real historic moment behind it and some hidden achievements with car + rally specific combinations that only real rally enthusiasts could unlock (or non enthusiasts using a guide hehe). V8R3L3NTL3SS1 0 Posted September 23, 2014 Achievements that are not luck based have got to go like on grid 2 roll your car 7x and land on all 4 wheels. Kinda hard to pick achievements when we don't know what game its for.
ARCNoOne 0 Posted September 23, 2014 I'd like to see a "Work Your Way Up" achievement, for winning a given event on every difficulty level. One of the things that was in Dirt 1, that I really missed in Dirt 2 and Dirt 3, was the ability to replay the pyramid on progressively more difficult settings, and see which events you'd beaten at which difficulty level.I think the most hated Dirt series achievement ever was probably the Rush Hour trophy, in Dirt 2.The chances you'll be randomly thrown into a lobby with seven other players, and not have at least one person in the room who will consistently beat you, are very slim.I lucked into that trophy on my second online race, but had to listen to people begging everyone in the room to let them win, for years after that. That got old quickly. tbtstt 2,416 Posted September 24, 2014 Its difficult to think of anything specific without knowing exactly what's going to be in the game. Trophies that reference famous rally (and rallycross) icons would be great to see though. I personally am not a fan of trophies that require online gaming to acquire, so if those could be avoided that would be preferable to me (I had to get rammed in a lot of online races to get to Level 35 on DiRT 3!)Few ideas that spring to mind but will obviously needed to be tweaked based on the actual game content:"Who Do You Think Juha?" - Win the most major rally Championship in game three times using three different car manufacturers."Markku Of A Great" - Drive major rally events in Group 4, Group B, Group A and World Rally Cars. "Mister Rallycross" - Win the most major rallycross Championship in game 6 times."A Hansen Total" - Win 249 rallycross races. "Totalled Hansen" - Win the most major rallycross Championship in game 14 times. (this might be a bit much depending on the size of the Championship!)Oh and, depending if Petter Solberg can finish the job in the World Rallycross Championship this year:"Petter's Pair" - Win both the most major rally and rallycross Championships in game. The feeling of finally getting that achievement in a legit way, was one of the best I got from achieving an achievement tho. I was racing with a group of 8 people all the time, and wasn't able to win, until I had one of the best races I'd had on DiRT 2 online, I had a good start, and was able to get to first place in the first lap, the second lap was really about not making any mistakes, and defending my position in a fair way. Anyways, I can still recall the race I got it, something I can't with most other achievements I got.Achievements related to historical events that have nothing to do with the in game progress it self would be nice. Rallycameraman 241 Posted September 26, 2014 "You're here for a good time, not a long time" Won 25 rallies in WRC cars, equalling Colin McRaes record of WRC wins. "Toivenen's legacy" Won the top Group B championship in a Delta S4 (assuming it's made the cut/licence) "Better than Seb" won over 900 stages online (Loebs stage win record is 900!) dotmartin 0 Posted September 29, 2014 "It's a family affair" — Name your driver Petter and then rename it to be called Henning"Carlsson-on-the-roof" — Roll your Saab 96 and make it come to a halt lying upside down on the roof"Only dead fish follow the stream" — Start your career as a rally driver and resist the temptation to move over to rally cross or circuit racingI quite like the ones mentioned that has something to do with historic events though! couger1981 89 Posted October 1, 2014 If it's going to be on Xbox 360 and PS3 then how about a Loyalty achievement for Playing DiRT, DiRT 2, DiRT 3 and "insert name here" on the same console.

MartijnvH 12 Posted October 1, 2014 Perhaps a price / award for the fastest legal driver,1 year after the launch, driving without aids,an award to drive a real rally car? at David Higgins rally school ( Forest Experience Rally School)I think thats the ultimate reward/ price for a racing gamer!, I remember that there was a really fast guy in the game "iracing" a Finish guy who never drove a car, and he was the fastest driver on almost every track, they invited that guy to the states to drive a real race car,There is an youtube video from it, but I couldnt find the youtube link anymore.
