Doubt he'll ever race again, if he does survive :( depends on how serious it is I guess all we know is that he's been sent to hospital with a Head injury and has been operated on. But that's all we know at the moment. So obviously it's a serious one because of him being unconscious and all that But Massa had serious issues in Hungary and came back. It's not the same driver but still he knows how tough this will be for Bianchi. It's definitely the end of the season for Bianchi at least I think. But whether he returns and races again will be up to him and Marrussia.

GoldenColt 1 Posted October 5, 2014 http://www.motorsportmagazine.com/f1/alonso-leaves-ferrari/Alonso leaving in his classic stylish way. Quote:Mattiacci, the corporate heavy, had other ideas about were the balance of power lay and that sotto voce exterior seems only the wrapping for a core of steel. As they took up their positions at the table, of the two men Mattiacci probably had a much clearer idea of exactly how this meeting was going to go. It’s said it was terminated by a furious Alonso telling the boss he was a son of a bitch and storming out.Apart from that bit, the rest of the article is 100% spot on. Brilliant read. f1since08 60 Posted October 5, 2014 According to witnesses, Bianchi lost the rear of the car in the early stages of the corner, and overcorrected. This resulted in the car spearing off straight on, impacting with the JCB head on. The car has been seriously damaged, with the majority of the roll hoop ripped off, and the front and rear of the car damaged to the point of obliteration. While there has been no official statement about Jules’ condition, his father Phillippe has told French television that Jules may have suffered a subdural hematoma.Radio Monte Carlo are reporting that Jules Bianchi has been placed on mechanical ventilation and requires another surgery to address bleeding. Unverified at this moment.
Platy 6 Posted October 5, 2014 There is a couple of pictures of Bianchi in the car after hitting the JCB. I'm not going to post it, but look for it on the F1 sub-Reddit. Its a shocking image.

justbiglee 0 Posted October 6, 2014 Hi all,As a mark of respect could we not post pictures of the incident up please? It's fine discussing it and if you're linking to articles talking about the incident or providing updates on his condition that's fine - just no pictures of it please. Thanks

The lasr thing the sport needs right now is another Schumacher esque long drawn out story.
VirtuaIceMan 103 Posted October 6, 2014 Just seen a video of the impact on another forum, Bianchi went head first under the rear of the tractor (from the left to right hand side of the tractor, as you look at the back of it) sickening to watch. The tractor was reversing at the time too.
VetteIfan 0 Posted October 6, 2014 I hope this is okay to post as I've only put it in a link - an actual video of the incident from a spectator. I don't wish to be disrespectful by posting this, but merely to answer people's questions as no-one is completely sure what happened. If you wish to watch it that is. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ASnqrbMtnos&feature=youtu.be&t=1m5sEDIT: Not available any more, see video 3 posts down

GoldenColt 1 Posted October 6, 2014 Ok, I've seen the footage from another user now. He went straight into the crane, head on. How he even survived that is beyond me.

VetteIfan 0 Posted October 6, 2014 What really hammers home how serious the incident was is that the JCB (which probably weighs over three times as much as an F1 car) was briefly lifted off the ground as the car made impact. Shows you how much energy these cars carry at top speed.
f1since08 60 Posted October 6, 2014 Wow that is an awful impact. How he even survived that I don't know!
Chadwick8505 0 Posted October 6, 2014 Wow that looked awful. He was carrying a lot of speed. I really wasn't expecting it to be that fast. Really scary and amazing that he survived at all. #ForzaJules
