Cutscenes in career mode, such as when you join Ferrari, Seb Vettel either welcomes you to the team, or he could be quite cold based on the rivalry you bring (your achievements in the past may influence this). The Journey or NBA 2k18 are great examples, but they're obviously way too complicated for Codemasters to achieve in 2018. 
In the current games, the actual drivers are way too distant. By getting actual F1 drivers to interact with you, might seem trivial but ever since 2015 when codemasters tried to go for the live the life-feel again, I've felt the actual drivers should feature as characters in the game. LOL. Good idea. Thank you for repeating it again. 

I have additional ideas such as:

- Your character gets to speak.
- When you get clipped behind and your car turns to one side and you are 90 degrees clockwise/anti-clockwise to the track, you get to see a huge amount of smoke coming out of the tyres. 
- Get helicopter scenes of the Formula One cars driving around the circuit.
- Make the helicopters actually move instead of making them stay, including the planes.
- Get to design your own helmet (shapes, fonts, writings etc).
- Better and more realistic crashes. So if someone breaks in front of you and your behind, you either go flying on top of the car like Alonso did in 2016 or just spin around.
- Reduce the amount of spins when there is a crashed, make them more sensible instead of turning like a five times. 
- Get the banners of sponsers such as Petronas, Heineken etc. 
- Better graphical TV feed. More realistic such as on TV.
- Drivers, managers, fans, FIA (Charlie) get to speak to you directly or by email. 
- Get to hear the crowd shouting at the start of the race, at the end of the race, when they are coming to their grid slot on the formation lap etc. 
- Inside helmet view.
- Different TV views and more realistic ones shown on, actual TV. 
- Get to manage your own team mode.

When your main driver can't qualify, your number 2 qualifies second then can't even start the race, and then said main driver has a fantastic race from last to fourth only to write the car off on his cool down lap on a rookie, you know that real life is starting to imitate a codemasters game.

2. Interviews and have them affect standings with other teams and and other racers. 
3. More issues with the cars. 
4. Way more of customization with helmets. We should be able to put sponsors and numbers and teams on our helmets.

6. Names and number on the race suit 
7.  New celebrations when winning

How about a driver conditioning system where you have to spend resource points to upgrade your character, not just the car?

So there could be categories like;

1) Fitness
2) Aggression
3) Bravery
4) Race craft
5) Wet weather ability
6) Overall temperament
7) Tactics
8) Team dynamics

Each would have a genuine impact on how you perform over a weekend.

If you don't spend enough on fitness your car becomes harder to drive towards the end of the race as your character tires out.

Spend points on team dynamics would see you get upgrades quicker, see the team be more forgiving of mistakes etc...

Each category would need to be maxed out over a season to see some subtle, but noticeable differences.

Spending into wet weather ability would see a subtle difference in your ability to drive on the limit in the wet.

You would actually have better reflexes if you spend into race craft, or would get better information from the pit wall and extra info about weather, your rivals position on track, any strategy changes, if you spend into tactics.

You would earn points just how you do now for the car but it would be equal points to spend on your driver.

That way no two players will have exactly the same experience, the replay value is high, it adds another layer of interest, becoming even more tactical and strategic.

It may take 2 or 3 seasons to get everything maxed out, but once it is you would feel almost like a different driver, with heightened reflexes, information, a seeming advantage in changing conditions.

I think it could be really good if done right.

Point 5 is unrealistic to put every name in it. I know they did it with Grid and Dirt, but I just hate it because my name is never in. Than I prefer to be called a McLaren.

what the fuck is, if they can not release the game without bugs ... DSQ on the tires, the choice of tires, bugs with the SC and other bugs. Let them release a normal product and not shit from year to year. They released the game and the first half of the year you can not play because of bugs.

Starting at Formula 2 would also be great. F1 Teams interest should depend on your Performence in F2!

- Seperate Career mode. Now it feels more like a failed Team Manager with lack of content. I want to experience the Mode as an upcoming F1 Driver, so I would welcome more interaction with the Team. For example they could change the R&D system by doing a certain amount of laps and giving your engineers the direction you want the car to go and your team builts it from there.

- More Stuff AROUND the actual Race weekend. Walking through the Paddock, talking to your team interacting with fans etc. (example NBA 2k series)
- Invitaional events shouldnt be in career mode. Its super unrealistic and just a gimmick which you skip after 4-5 events.
- Enhanced Team Manager mode. Like some already mentioned before, Create your own team chose from diffrent Engine supliers etc.
- Facescan option + Enhanced customization. (Layereditor just like Forza for your Helmet with community designs)

Come on codies listen to the community give us feedback that you actually care.. Sad that no developer around here interacting with us like NBA 2k crew does.

Only things I would want in 2018 are;

1. Ability to select a 3-10 year career at the start (so the speed of resource points payout/upgrades is pro-rata, as there is no way I have the time or inclination to play 10 full seasons of full races in 12 months)

2. An automatic development option (so the team you drive for develops automatically as the speed it would develop if you were not driving for it - as frankly, the practice laps are becoming tedious after 1 season)

3. Ability to skip animation sequences in career (listening to some clown tell me about a classic F1 car he wants me to drive that I have no interest in driving is doing my nut)

4. Ability to create/edit team/driver names (I understand the licensing issue but per EA sports FIFA games, I understand the edit function circumvents it).

I'd love to see:

• A more dynamic career mode where you can create your own team, choose from a few pre-set "carshapes", with different benefits and drawbacks, and an engine supplier. Perhaps a pool of drivers where you can pick the second driver in your team, etc.
• Again, career mode, you can choose to bring your own sponsor ("pay driver") or be affiliated with the different teams junior programmes
• Team sponsor logotypes available when you use a custom helmet. If you drive for Ferrari, add the Ferrari logotypes to the helmet
• The game can dynamically expand to 22 or 24 cars in career mode
• Like in NBA2k, where you can download community made teams for the game using 2kUpload, we should be able to insert our own carskins to our created teams, or at least logotypes. Perhaps paint a car using some 10-15 different templates, and then insert logotypes onto them. It's sort of been done in DiRT4.
• And, I know this will never happen, but I'd rather see a full season DLC with historic cars, like 1986, rather than a few random cars.

Great ideas. Especially, the new ideas which no one has said yet, I believe . Number 4,5 and 6.

Understood. If you want you can forward your ideas and anger towards Codemasters. An email might be sufficient. But thank you for the idea of having no bugs within the game.

Many of you guys are wanting it to become bug free. Hopefully, Codemasters will focus on making it a near bug free or absolute bug free game, within 2018.

1st point. Codemasters did this intentionally, because F1 2016 R & D was too quick. I like the way they did it this year. But obviously, its your opinion. Keep it. I like the 3rd point. Fully agree. You can't skip it. There needs to be a skip button.

Love all the ideas. Especially, that last one. Maybe an add-on pack with historic cars, tracks, racing drivers. That sounds pretty awesome. Plus, they get more money so it's a win-win situation. But, make some of the packs free. :).

Alright guys, lets just calm down slightly. Everyone has their own opinions. But I fully agree that F1 is better than Project Cars, not sure if it is then Project Cars 2 . Plus Gran Turismo same thing, not sure. FRACTURED. You might have screwed this discussion over. :). Now, Codemasters are never going to look at these comments. Naa I'm joking. Just be careful of what you say and that includes everyone else. Codemasters has changed the F1 game so much compared to it's old F1 license owners (look at a youtube video of the evolution of the F1 game) . In 2005, I think it was Liverpool studios or something like that. The game wasn't as good then from what it is now. But, F1 2017 was bound to be better than 2005 , in terms of graphics and so on. Additionally, many things within the 2005,2006 and 2007 games were pretty s***, in my opinion. AI was easy, career mode wasn't as enjoyable and so on.

Total Manual Pit Stop, please, nothing of automatic!!! We are on 2017-18! I want stop the car to change tyres, it's simple, and if someone does a bit of antics there in the Box, like trying to get into the garage or running over some of the workers' team, punish them right away, disqualify them! 
Another point, re-make all animations of pit, are very fakes, nothing simulated, looks like linear, made in computer with mouse... The car moves very fake... renew this animations!

The ideia of Halo is protect on top of head, but why is protecting the front where is the view of driver?... This still does not stop a piece of car from killing the pilot.

I get the reason for the halo but why not make a type of wrap around windscreen, it could be a open top design or enclosed. Have tear offs on it. Only thing is when it rains, not sure if a wiper would work well enough. But that halo isn’t really protecting much.

They've already trialled lots of different designs, including windscreens and closed canopies. This is the one they've found to work best, so we're stuck with it.

I completely agree.

The main reason i have been playing their F1 games was the multiplayer mode and its leagues because there you can drive against real people with different characters and who also like to take the game a bit more serious when they race in the league.
Career has always been a side thing for me until this year, where multiplayer does not seem to work at all. That is why i now play career more thatn multiplayer and i honestly would rather have no multiplayer at all than a multiplayer that keeps disappointing me year after year, each time hoping for improvements.
