Huge AI difference between dry and wet wheater ruins immersion of real racing.

Recommended Posts

It's a huge step forward, that we have AI slider, and we could choose right difficulty level for everyone.
But AI is very poor in rainy condition. I've always the same problem that ruins the immersion of real racing.
I'm struggling with my McLaren to beat anyone beside Sauber and other McLaren . Maybe sometimes I'm faster than Palmer or Danil. But when it's raining the AI times are nowhere near. Austria, Baku, Montreal - I'm finishing just behind Mercedes and Ferrari. I know that rain is what McLaren is praying for, but please everytime when is raining I have to up AI level from 75% to 85%.
Please level up AI in rainy wheater!
And sorry for poor english :)

Just raise the difficulty until you can't beat the AI. If you can still beat them on Ultimate, then disable assists. There is always something you can do to balance the scales.

Yeah TC is very OP in the rain. But AI are a little weak in general. I managed a 3rd on merit with 104 AI in my first season with McLaren in Spain. I do run ABS though.

Turn off ABS and traction control, then tell us what you feel.
I have them off at 110% difficulty. The AI is very slow in wet conditions. If you get the chance to make a wet setup (fully or predominantly wet race), you're probably going to win no matter what.

I have everything off already. It's simply too easy. Even in dry conditions it's too slow right now, with the ridiculous long corner grip being the AI's only saving grace, but in wet conditions it's hopeless.

yeah, the AI sucks in the wet, period.
I play with no aids on and they simply suck in the wet... its like they go from 110% in the dry to 100% in the wet.
even transition from dry to wet (and people somehow complain they can still do dry times which is rediculous) they suck.
had vettel hamilton and bottas ahead of me at mexico all pulling away slowly, 2-3 tenths per lap.
light rain starts and i immediately start pulling them in, and the lap before everyone went in for inters, i had passed all 3.

Just wondering, what camera are you using?

I'd dare say the transition is even worse for them. They're get really scared once they are close to the cutoff point, regardless of the tyre, and they become especially hopeless in slow corners and in traction zones where they're simply much too cautious.
