BadD0g
It's been 4 months, I think I've let this sit on my hard drive without being played for long enough. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯I'm bummed it didn't work out the way I had hoped, but I won't say I didn't enjoy the 36 hours I played. I just didn't enjoy them *enough* to turn that 36 hours into 405 hours like Dirt Rally.

I have spent 69 hours , but i feel done with the game and i dont think new content can bring me back...Dirt 4 was a mess , no bad at all but not great too...Better codemasters to start creating its new game i dont think people will come back to Dirt 4 .. danielofifi
If only Codemasters would give their fans a specific date for the release of a patch/update, instead of just saying "we're working on it" from time to time, I'm sure there wouldn't be this much bad energy here... I like the game, but it is annoying to be stuck in limbo to be honest.

I'm actually one of ones that likes the game for what it is (and defended it) but was holding out for some tweaks, improvements and possibly DLC's. I've been around gaming since well, the first consoles and have never seen this type of action from a dev (at least with the games I was vested in). Especially these days. For better or worse, there's always subsequent patches, support and DLC's. CM just rolled this out, slapped a couple patches out and called it a day. Blows my mind. As some one else said, as long as consumers keep eating crap, they'll keep selling steamy piles with a smile.
LutzM
Maybe the team should at least give us just some information on what they are working at the moment @ChristinaMc Because I'm convinced many people will go on playing Dirt 4 as soon as clubs and other things are being updated...but the team should keep the players motivation alive by sharing at least a bit of information on what is being developed... @KickUp @CMMcBabe Some people here just speak negative but I'm sure there are lots of true fans out there who still believe in this game (I do!) It always used to be for me, but most of my weekends are either spent at motorsport events or doing DIY if I'm at home! I pretty much exclusively game in the evenings now. From the few members of the forum that I know, I think there are quite few of us who are a bit older and have commitments!I would like to know what's going on at Codemasters. Having met a few members of the dev team it was pretty apparent that they were all genuinely passionate about the subject material and the game(s) they were producing. I daresay you didn't even need to meet them to appreciate that: just look at how many members of the team were posting on the forum, at all hours of the day, to answer questions......and then, almost overnight, that stops. If the game was a total disaster, then that might explain it, but it's not. Critically it was well received and, although some areas need work, I still think the positives by far outweigh the negatives. That means there must be some other reason for the silence. We want to let you know it's coming, but we don't know when - surely slightly vaguer phrasing is better than no phrasing? We're working on the Clubs update and the accompanying patch which will include a suite of fixes, and as soon as we have a date, it'll be everywhere we can feasibly put it! But for now, it's just not something we can share. And while it's frustrating, it's a lot better than us making up a date and not delivering when the time comes because of an unforeseen issue - we just want to be sure. :)

A big company such Codemasters work that way? No deadline or anything like that?I can understand there is always bugs and undesired technical issues during development, but there is always a deadline (even if it's not clear the exact day). This sounds like in a few months you will post "We tried hard to deliver the best update possible, unfortunately the changes were not easy and we will apply it in our new 'hiperhyped' title, which by the way is now ready for pre-order/early-access".Why would you spend that much time in a game no-one is playing? Mystx24
I am sad to say i have abandoned D4 after 180 hours, its a great game minus bugs, but for what seems like alot of content just really isnt, your stage may become amazing in the future but it ruined D4 for me, getting deja vu anytime i drive in D4 is not good. Your stage took all the life and soul a rally stage has and threw it right out the window.Wasnt until i went back to DR,SLRE,WRC 7,RBR, i really realized and appreciated how much life those stages have in the above games. I dont think ill come back even after clubs, ill certainly tread lightly on my next purchase here. ITS A DAMN SHAME

Unfortunately, i also agree that this is what's gonna happen. Without fixing ( imo ) the handling / physics / default car set-ups, repeated, and bland, stage tiles, and the co-driver delivering notes " too late ", D4 will keep the same low player count even if they add Clubs so, why waste time? I pre ordered d4 thinking itll be DR but better, bad on me for thinking that, i wont be pre ordered again not from codies, ill keep my eye on what happens next but will take great care in throwing my money around.
