@F1Support @jennyannem

Here you have some videos of the same start with differents points of views in each camera.

Speed camera:

https://youtu.be/0GC87aQoeMA

Here you see a crash between three drivers: Balta, Suamur and Xdiego.

Sterno camera:

https://youtu.be/_gk1BHdi1og

Here you can see a crash between two drivers: Balta and Suamur.

Baltas camera:

https://youtu.be/1rwkj1plnLY

Non incident at all.

Suamur Camera:

https://youtu.be/HDWWme8YDZQ

Not incident at all.

All of them has a healthy conection and they all were streaming. Now in our league we had done the rule not to stream during the race in order to avoid that matters. I would like to know if that could be a kind of lag or if it is a known bug for Codemasters, and, if will be solved in the next patch 1.8.

All the drivers who was streaming, did it in the past games such us F1 2016, 15 and so on since we have Ps4, and never before had that problem indeed.

In that race we found the problem that I had described before in that discurssion:

http://forums.codemasters.com/discussion/58255/f1-2017-ps4-1-6-driver-syncro-bug

I spend some time giving you feedback with videos in order to resolve this matter, furthermore I can give you further information if you need it. But please, I do not like to be ignored at all with Codemaster´s silent.

Thank you.

Looks like Balta’s machine stopped sending any data at all around the first corner. Everyone else is forced to simulate the car as if an AI was driving, which gets pushed around as everyone else sees. I would guess, after that, Balta teleports back into position on everyone’s screen/minimap? We drop to AI control after one second of packet loss, but we don’t disconnect until six seconds of packet loss – so you can have a few seconds of total drop-out, when the game may desync, but it will either “snap” back when we start getting data again, or someone will disconnect.

Did the other players see Balta teleport back to the correct position a few seconds later?

I also pointed out massive desyncs, non ghost cars doubling up on track etc. But nobody acknowledged. Was it reviewed.

No, It was so odd because Speed has the third place in his own video, and Balta has Speed at the six place for instance, so neither of us could know the real position.

Here you can see the point of view of Balta, Speed an others (long videos) to check what I am saying:

Same problem here: https://youtu.be/zzyJUrJDs-E?t=2059

Some even got DSQ at the end as well but i didn't have enough time to look at the complete Race Director because i was looking at the penalties.

There I see a hole video, Codemasters I understand that is not going to review an hour of your video, so It would be a good idea if you shows where you see the problem in order to save time for the SAT,

I copied the URL of a specific time which is at 34:30.

Not my mistake.

Yes, I know that this was not your fault, but if you see my first post of this threat, despite I copy the URL of a specific time (?t=34m30s) at the end of the URL, I put it in the description of the video because I know that in this forum, the video do not jump into this specific time.

Nobody seems to be getting data from Balta, from what I can tell, but Balta is getting data from Sterno (side-by side at 27:00 in Balta’s video, 18:14 in Sterno’s – but Sterno can’t see Balta). However, Balta isn’t getting data from Speed! You can see Balta has Speed one place behind at 27:00 in Balta’s video, which is +1:24 from start, but according to the timing in Speed’s video they reach that overhead board at 19:39 in their video, that’s only +1:21 from start! Timings are borne out by their lap 1 times; Speed’s 3 seconds faster than the other two. Sterno seems to know knows where Speed is, so they are communicating correctly.

The host’s probably the only one who knows where Balta is. My most likely explanation at this point is that peer-to-peer connections from Balta have not been successful, but they are still connected to the host (hence, not kicked). Normally the game compensates for this by having the host relay data from Balta’s console to everyone else not directly connected, but if the host thinks the peer connections worked, it won’t try to relay. But Balta is connected to the host, and should have informed it of Balta’s peer-to-peer connection status!

I assume Suamur was the host? It looks like they track all the cars in the correct places. In the short term, Balta may want to consider setting up their network router so that their PS4 is in the “demilitarized zone” or at least setting up some port-forwarding: I’ve seen recommendations to port-forward UDP ports 3478 and 3479 to get an “open” NAT classification and direct connections. If they reliably connect peer-to-peer with everyone else in the game, it’ll be a noticeably better experience.

Was Suamur the host?

Get Balta to try the suggestions, we hope that helps.

"Better experience" definitely doesn't mean it is OK to say that. It's not a user fault even if it could result in "better experience". Requiring a specific network settings for playing online properly is an additional hidden requirement never mentioned before buying and for me as a customer it is unacceptable. It's not user fault, the game should be prepared for such situations.
Nobody can ensure the same network settings (open NAT) in public lobbies or even in "private" groups of 20 players. Don't forget that the race experience is destroyed for the entire racing field, not only for the one player with not "open" NAT.

@F1Support thanks for the implication on this problem. As you can see in all the videos (at the beginning of them), the host was me: ProDriver:

https://youtu.be/OLlJ_osAhoU

I will recommend Balta to open Nat conections, isnt it?... I dont understand what is it, but I assume than he will understand. On the other hand, Balta has a healthy connection with symmetrical 300mg fiber. I had a good connection too 200mg fiber (not symmetrical).

One question is: If Balta lost the connection, he should be in transparency and with the IA poster, shouldnt he?
