F1 2017 - Brief glimpses of the wrong scene while driving

Recommended Posts

Hello guys,

I recently bought me a copy of F1 2017 because  I liked 2014 on the ps3. ( without weird glitches )
Now after I started the career mode my screen began to - well I don't know, what should I say maybe "glitching" out?
Does anyone have any idea how I can fix this? I uploaded a video so you can understand what I'm trying to say..

I assume you are playing on the PC. If you do, make sure that your graphics card drivers are up to date and check you game files by going into your Steam library > Right Click on F1 2017 > Properties > Local Files > Verify Integrity Of Game Files
Note that by doing this, any mod that you have installed will be either deleted or not functional anymore.

If checking the files does not work then try to delte your current career save, reinstall the game and start a new career.

Hello xLoewen, which platform are you on? If you are on PC as MrGhost010 says check your graphics drivers and drivers in general. Checking the Steam cache is also not going to hurt. After that let me know if you're still seeing the issue, I don't think deleting your save will help so don't do that yet.

First of all thanks for the title because I had no idea how I should call this. Yea, Im on PC as you can see in the video I posted my specs down below.
I updated my drivers to the F1 specific one and still got the problem. As MrGhost told me to check the game files everything is ok, also got no mods because I started playing it a few hours ago  :# I cleared the cache too.  Looks like I have to reinstall the game

View it in YouTube with quarter speed...

Is there anyway you are somehow triggering look left and look right?

There was a user on PS4 using right analogue for acc/brake and every time he braked (down on right stick) it would look behind him. Kind of seems similar.

Something seems to be triggering just your look left as far as I can tell. You can see (anytime you can stop it in those frames) that its looking across the left of the track and the proximity arrows are correctly showing where the other car is.

Well, I disabled the left and right bind and now its seems to be working. looks like I need a new controller

Good call @FRACTURED, I wondered if it was look back but ruled that out because of the things I saw in those weird frames.

@xLowen you don't need a new pad, you should be able to add a deadzone to the look around controls to stop this happening.

My Right stick on Elite pad was doing something similar except looking up whenever I wasn't in control of the stick. So I was dying a lot on Gears Of War or missing headshots inexplicably. Had recorded a few and noticed on slow YT speeds a slight pullup when I thought I had a shot centred and let go of stick to fire :)

Well I also thought its the back bind so I disabled it and still had that problem, didn't saw it's the left/right bind.

Big thanks to you @FRACTURED ,you saved my F1 fun  :D
