HUD and telemetry not showing up in career mode.

Recommended Posts

I have installed the latest upgrade 2 days ago, 1st day, career mode was fine, but then yesterday, when starting a practice session while in the pits, it was like somebody turned off the lights in the garage, and from here on in career mode, I have no HUD  whatsoever, no lap times, telemetry, map, or progress bars for test programs. I have tried a time trial and évent modes and HUD looks ok there, that was all I had time to try yesterday, tried closing down app, restarting console. I am running Xbox one version 1.9.

@gabcom, @KeithRansom. Please check what settings are On/Off in the On-Screen Display menu. Go to Time Trial, any track so that you're in the garage, Pause > Preferences > On-Screen Display. Also if you're playing Pro Career that changes what HUD aspects are visible as part of it's design.

I am still encountering the issue, I have checked my settings, and in on screen display, my parameters are turned on. The issue will persist throughout the session in which I am participating in, once I complete it the next session will usually start out and may be all normal, but it’s hit and miss. I have only encountered the problem in career mode as it is mostly where I spend my time. It might have to be issued from the fact I don’t exit out of my game mode when I am done playing/ go back to game menu instead of just powering down console after beginning new event from driver’s viewpoint with laptop in hospitality area? It sure is annoying, I hope you can look into it. Should I look at uninstalling game and reinstall? Will I lose my current data if I do so?

Does it happen after you started the console and the game is already loaded?

It usually happens when I start a new session, and if you mean by game already loaded that I open from main console menu and it comes on right away instead of going through the start up with the start lights and video montage, then yes it would already be loaded.

Will this also influence third party hud/telemetry working? I'm having trouble getting my dashboard app to connect or stay connected.

I have mostly had the issue happen when I start the session in the pit garage but it also happened once sitting on the grid just a few seconds after the session started up, screen went dark, just like lights being quickly shut off and turned back on, and then no telemetry.

This is new information. I had the same; screen went dark, but did linked it to the lack off telemetry. Just thaught it was an energy setting on my screen/tv set. I will check this out.

I tried doing an uninstall and reinstall, brought me back to the same session in career, still no telemetry, and one other symptom I had forgotten about is the vehicle’s display also sometimes will not work when the issue happens, the display screen can be a fuzzy blur, completely black or sometimes will work. I guess i’ll Have to finish off session, to see if the blackout happens again in another one.
