@F1Support @jennyannem Another race in our league an another disaster race for us...

A lot of drivers has an icon which we suppose that is low quality conection, but not all drivers has the same icons in the same drivers. Let me show you the videos:

Here you have Speed's video in which Xdiego is not in the first position in the grid:

https://youtu.be/Rt5ram_XuAQ

Here you have Sterno's video in which you can see massive icon on almost every driver

https://youtu.be/Ktzr1PQ2lxY

And here you have another points of view:

https://youtu.be/6DOdLsGmt-Y

https://youtu.be/RpBmHg_g42A

Here you have the long videos of each driver for further information. I (ProDriver_ES) was the host, we do a 100% race with formation lap, with a short qualifying.

https://youtu.be/vVYixfyl90o

We need a solution of this, is so importan for us. All of us are playing to F1's games since 2010 but this last title is imposible for us to play, we are thinking about come back to 2016's game because is hard not to know what is your real position in the race.

PLEASE GIVE US A SOLUTION.

Nobody matters about this???  Is only a Spanish zone problem for no reason???

We have observed that the icons only seem to indicate your connection to that player.

Therefore you can be sure that on your screen if you see the icon it is your connection to that player that is poor. If you see lots of icons on all the cars in the lobby it is your connection to all players and therefore potentially your problem with bandwidth. This would seem to correlate well to the different results on different players screens issue.

This is from ancedotal evidence we are collating by having league and social races with european and US players. The US player has connection bars to the whole lobby when we see just a connection bar on his car on our screens.

It is a peer-to-peer system which seems to concentrate mainly on the car in front and the car behind and then the host and then other cars. That's the priority system we see, anecdotally.

Desync issues are common on the first lap when many cars change position.

Desync issues are common when the host disconnects and a new host is found (lobby join order).

Strongest connections in first, do not livestream if you cannot ringfence adequate unused bandwidth, etc. Do not use voice comms if your connection is limited.

If your ping to the host is poor, expect problems regardless of bandwidth. If you do not use a wired connection to play, you should expect your connection to vary during gameplay due to the nature of WiFi (it must accept interference and thereby this increases latency and may reduce bandwidth) and that most SoHo/Domestic routers do not implement any kind of QoS (priority traffic/bandwidth ringfencing).

We could do with clarification on this @F1Support @CmRachel @jennyannem but I suspect it would just lead to more criticism of the Netcode methodology. I think it's basically followed the path I've outlined earlier since the start of the franchise with minor revisions.

Hi @JuanCarMR, from your videos it just seems like a bad connection causing desync.

Please add time-stamps when you post long videos.
All of us has a healthy conection, 300Mb symetric or so, therefore, that is not the problem, our pings are 4-21, all of us, are playing F1's games since 2010 and never before had that problems, a little bit of lag when our conections were poor in the past, but we played properly in F1 2016 with livestream as well.
But now, it is imposible for us to continue playing. Tonight we are going to test the game with championship mode, without livestreaming, with other hosts...

You can see the short videos showing what IMO is the important issues of that topic, and that short videos are part of the long ones. I've posted the long ones as well for give more information to Codemasters of the lobby, and stuff that I do not know if could be important to solve this matter, so I cant add time-stamp of the long videos, because I dont no what is important for them.

All of us who are playing our league are from Spain, with a healthy bandwith conection and wired ones. We will continous cheking issues in order to resolve this matter.

@F1Support are you aware to this topic??? was the same as in 1.7 in that threat that we was talking for:

@F1Support @jennyannem

Yesterday night the TN league has its Mexico's race, no one of us did a livestream and the lobby was perfect, no lag, no  slow drivers, nothing wrong!!!

The only issue which I thing you are aware on is the SC in Multiplayer races, it do not appears in situations in which it is neccesary.

On the other hand, I saw in the In Car menu that if I wanted to put again SS tyres, as I do not have any new one, the game show me that the available one was used with the HUD background in black, letter in red, in order to new ones which are blackground in red and the letter in black. WELL DONE CODEMASTERS!!!
