If you read the thread is not about AI level or ego. Just adding your two cents without reading or possibly understanding the point none to useful.

Just a little question, who the hell uses the Right Stick to brake and accelerate in 2017?!

This ain't the PS1 / PS2 anymore..... lol.

------------------------------

Here's my pad setup on PS4:

L2 = Brakes
L1 = Gear Down
R2 = Throttle
R1 = Gear Up / On Manual Starts Rev Limiter
Triangle = DRS Control / Pit Limiter
Square = MFD Control
Cross = Changing Camera Angles
Circle = Radio Control
Select / Touchpad = Replay
Start = Menu
Sharebutton = Share Control of PS4
L3 = Steering
R3 = Camera Control
D-Pad = Control over MFD to navigate with up / down and left / right movement

Have been using a very similar type of control layout since F1 2010 released and use this even on all the other racing games on consoles, but only if i'm too lazy to hook up my wheel that is.....

Have a try mate, might help ya out a bit, especially manual shifting makes much more fun with this setup! ;)

I would imagine people with osteoarthritis in there hands/fingers use this set up because there all thumbs. Lol

Give it try!

See if your any good when you can’t grip too well with the hands, but thumbs are good!?
Fair enough mate, but obviously using the stick to accelerate or to brake is never going to be as precise as the usage of the trigger shoulder buttons.

If you have a condition that prevents you to use the pad in its full capacity, a wheel would be recommendable, there are good ffb wheels available for at least 100+ bucks so buying those doesn't require us to rob a bank, lol.

I have a uncle whose hands are massively shaky due to a mild form of Parkinson, but he still rocks racing sims with a good ol' set of pedals and a wheel.

It all just depends on how much one is inclined to spend, or even how much time one is willing to dedicate.

But with a wheel comes a seat, which sets you back at least a couple of hundred bucks. The in between solutions, like wheelstands are a pain in the butt.

Money and time aren’t really my best mates..! But hey thanks for the advice.

The big reason I’m pissed with the MTC nerf is because of the style of play I use. Fun and enjoyment are paramount! Using the sticks isn’t the best but before the patch and 1.9 is was a great game for me to get my f1 fix.
