Every weekend is wet

Recommended Posts

Anyone else got this bug? Have only recently started playing and every weekend has at least one day of rain, even Bahrain. I'd just simply turn off the weather but I'm unsure if I can during a career. Is their any way to turn of the weather conditions during a career?

Same issue here. Had a few weekends where races were dry(11 out of 18 wet races), but at least 2 or 3 sessions are always wet.

I am playing dry grand prix mode and adding all tracks in order to do a season-like championship at the moment. Would be nice if we could at least adjust the weather in career and championship modes. I don't see the point of locking that for offline play.

I must say this is something I've not experienced.

I've had maybe 1 wet race and a handful of wet sessions, be it free practice or qualifying, and I'm at race 10 now.

As for turning off dynamic weather, I think you can adjust it, along with all the race assists/rules and the like, before you start each race weekend.

Before going to free practice 1, or whatever your first session is over a weekend, if you hit options (on PS4) or start, or wherever button is applicable on your platform, you can the adjust the race settings (weather, safety car etc..), assists (traction control, racing line etc...), or quit to main menu.

If I'm wrong and you can't actually change those parameters I apologise...but give it a try.

This isn't just a single player thing this is a problem in multiplayer too, almost every race other then Bahrain and Abu Dhabi have either wet quail or race when set to dynamic weather its just not realistic and only reared its head in these last 2 games, previously this was not the case.I'd be interested to know if this was by design or a small bug.

Rain in Abu Dhabi seems like it's a case of bad design... meaning they just throw in random wet sessions, regardless of context or real world accuracy.

Unfortunately, random means you can have 1 wet race all season, no wet races, or every race is wet.

It ends up being a situation where you feel like you need to turn it off... which ruins the experience and isn't actually realistic.

There is no method to turn it off for career or 2017 championship mode. It's turned off (greyed out) from the start.

Definitely can't be turned off.

While I've not had rain in every race in my first season, I have had quite a bit.

It actually helped me get my only win just because I timed switching back to Dry tyres better than the rest of the field.

I do wish I could choose the weather settings.

It just isn't as fun to drive in wet conditions in my opinion. Plain and simple.
