Teammate bug

Recommended Posts

Hello, I've searched the whole forum but didn't find a single thread about this issue so I thought it would be a nice idea to create a thread for the irritating team mate bug we have since the game has been released. I'm curious why nobody have noticed this so here it is, a fresh new thread for asking Codemasters. Please Codemasters, fix it. Love Xx

Did OP try searching the words "TEAM MATE"

I find it hard to believe an existing thread couldn't be found  :D :D

Flagging you means they'll at least come and look at the thread though. I'm going to flag all your dupes, not because I dislike you or disagree but because you are spamming the forum, and you are correct that this needs fixed.

There is no such thing as a complex problem that can not be corrected. Every bug can be fixed, even by workaround. If they do not correct, everyone can sue and receive the money back.

Sure someone Flagged me! That's what Fanboys do! They one of the reasons Codies can ignore us! They know as long they are purchase the game and praise it like the holy bible they had their money save xD

This is utterly crap. I do understand you are getting fed up with the fact that certain problems aren't fixed instantly. I do however have problems with this kind of behaviour, since it probably does more harm than good. Next to this are you in fact spamming the forum. And this has nothing to do with fanboys or whatever. It's just childish behaviour. But your name reflects that.

Marcel, the respectful, ordered approach hasn't worked so now the forum is such that any Codemasters employee casually scanning the General Discussion board cant fail to see the issue, it's importance to those posting, and hopefully it might help.

Guys, it’s been too long for Codemasters to fix this teammate bug, and the more they say nothing, the more it seems like they’re ignoring us and trying to sweep this under the rug. The threats of saying we won’t buy their next game mean nothing to them, and this isn’t exactly a popular site on the web, so our posts about this glitch aren’t exactly widely enough known. I’ve tried tweeting Lee Mather and he responds to other glitches about MP, but not his one.

So, what we need is for someone with a lot of publicity within the F1 gaming circles to give Codemasters a very public dressing down, while also being big enough that Codemasters simply can’t shut them down and ban them or something without causing public outrage. Who fits this criteria?

The big Youtubers

We are done trying to get Codemasters to reply to this, and they don’t care if we fight back with our wallets, so we need someone to deliver a public blow to their image. Something that not only resonates with F1 gamers, but with the people giving out the licenses for these games as well. Because right now, the way Codemasters has handled this shows that they don’t deserved this license.

So everyone, begin tweeting, emailing, commenting on videos, to any and all the big Youtubers, some of whom also are struggling with this. If we can get just one of them, with their massive audience, to give Codemasters a very public slap in the face, that would be huge progress, and maybe more people will then take notice. Some of these guys have nearly 300k subs, and break 100k views in just days. We need their voice.

As for you, Codemasters Team, you have let us down. So before you ban me and allege that I am starting a smear campaign, just know that you have brought this upon yourself. You have delivered a game with many bugs, some excusable, but ones like this are not. And even more inexcusable is your handling of this. We asked for an update, an acknowledgment that you were at least working on it. But you gave us nothing beyond "it's complicated", nearly a month ago. All you can do now is delete this post, maybe send threatening emails to the Youtubers to keep them quiet. But believe me, that’ll hurt you more than me.

This is a call to action. Everyone reading this post, whether you are affected by this bug or not, contact a Youtuber by any means possible and maybe, just maybe, one of them can use their voices, which is louder than all of us combined, to make Codemasters taken notice that what they are doing right now is not acceptable for a company licensed by one of the biggest sports in the world. It may be too hopeful to think that any Youtuber, with the elite status they enjoy with Codemasters, will give them the slap they need, but one thing they know better than Codemasters is that community support is everything. So now is not a time to hide, but to get real, and give Codemasters the wakeup call that they need.

And believe me @jennyannem @F1Support @CmRachel. If you ban me, or continue your ignorance, then you're greatest days commercially are behind you.

I concur.

Tiametmarduk is a fairly big You Tuber, knows the Codemasters team, and has been using McLaren in career mode so is well aware of the bug.

Getting him to speak up is another thing.

The ear deafening silence tells me it's not getting fixed.

It's quite frankly rediculous that the issue can keep on being ignored. We know these threads are being read by the community team but they won't say a word on it. Just break your silence, give an answer ffs.

Sure, we don't want to hear 'we aren't fixing the problem' but it's better than mugging us off by saying nothing at all!

to be honest, i think 1.10 will be the last patch we will have got.
looks similiar to me like last years tyre wear bug, depending on starting tyre. after all it even was like a wonder they did  fix this in a very late patch (and instead introduced stutter when selecting career drivers online ...) after lots of moaning by the community. but i doubt we will see something like this for 2017.

there are still a lot of bugs (especially in multiplayer, making league racing not very enjoyable) in this years version. i don't get it, why CM has so many problems year after year (somethimes there are even the same bugs).
Its a shame, after all their games in the last 2 years were very promising and are still very solid, but the amount of bugs overshadows the otherwise good work.

It wont be the last patch. Because they posted on a thread in the tech assistance forum that the grid penalties bug would be getting fixed "in a future patch". And that was posted 1 day before 1.9 came out. So sinxe its not in the patch notes for 1.10 it should be in 1.11 or 2.0 or whatever.

you know, they also told folks that f1 2015 would get a dx12 patch ;-)

I completely agree with you that "Codemasters" most likely do not care about our feedback and yearly, identical complaints anymore.

I have already made a little rant video during a league race here: https://youtu.be/In4a1HVuXg8
For the complete and uncut race live stream: https://go.twitch.tv/videos/184255043

I am not sure if i should continue making videos like that, with video evidence of bugs, to present it to the public and "Codemasters" as i highly doubt that many or anyone would watch it to have any effect whatsoever.

As a league racer who started on "F1 2013" and played through all their F1 games until now, i know for a fact that their support for leagues has decreased dramatically as they focus 98% on career, for the YouTubers to advertise, which obviously is not flawless either. The many leagues out there with great communities, who were built on "Codemasters" "F1" games, are as great of a part of the success of the company with this series as the YouTubers and their career mode.

They only properly started working on multiplayer in the current game when they had to for esports, even though they played on LAN connection, to not destroy their image publicly and live with the many issues and (still many) missing content and brought the update for spectators just when the first event occurred. The first few AOR esports qualifying live stream events were full of bugs and they were very, very embarrassing. Even now (post v1.09) i have never, NEVER EVER, had ONE SESSION with NO ISSUES, such as bugs, rammers (players who ruin others online experience by crashing into you on purpose since F1 2012) and cheaters, in the current game. This is a great and loud alarm signal. The classic cars are most likely just fillers to redirect the focus of the customers from multiplayer to classic cars, as they knew that it was broken and a way to get people to buy their products as there was nothing else than career that improved. Preordering the game for only one classic car is the cheapest bait i have ever seen. Can hardly call it "Preorder bonus".

Even worse:
They copy/pasted the model of a mod authors mod on racedepartment for the Ferrari F2002 into their game and changed it slightly to make it look original without giving credit to him. That was the final nail in the coffin for me when it comes to investing into their future F1 products. At first i thought they were either unwilling or unable to improve their game in the online aspect, now i know that they are both unwilling and unable.

I also agree that someone with big numbers should say something but they are not allowed to if they want to go to the march testing and have content to talk about or pre-release versions of the game for their channels which can boost their numbers even higher, just like this year. And believe me, i know someone who jumped from 2k to 8k subscribers on YouTube just because he live streamed playing F1 2017 career 3 days before release.

Big F1 YouTubers are a no-go unfortunately.

Other than most of us boycotting the next game, we have nothing else that we can do to send a strong message that we want a working, stable and content rich game that deserves the title "F1".

Before anyone comes with the excuse "They are a small company though.":
Look up the history of gaming developers and companies. You will find some with a game or games that brought great success and fame and they were not many in the developing team.

Codemasters is surely not hiring amateurs in their developers team, so why do they keep failing us every year?

Whoever flags this thread or any comment is an idiot.
FACT
If we are banned or this thread gets deleted then it just proves our points.

In the end we have not really lost anything at all.

Well,I gave up hoping, that they will finally make a stable and solid game since the release of DIRT 4. That game stole my motivation playing F1 2017. Why they just don't making such brilliant games like they did back in 2006?

This is serious. If it's really true, people have to know that. They can't get away with this!
