Teammate bug

Sure someone Flagged me! That's what Fanboys do! They one of the reasons Codies can ignore us! They know as long they are purchase the game and praise it like the holy bible they had their money save xD

This is utterly crap. I do understand you are getting fed up with the fact that certain problems aren't fixed instantly. I do however have problems with this kind of behaviour, since it probably does more harm than good. Next to this are you in fact spamming the forum. And this has nothing to do with fanboys or whatever. It's just childish behaviour. But your name reflects that.
My name....really...you cant come up with anything better. I've got that PSN Nickname since 2006 :D i was 15 year's old ;) if it escaped you, you CAN'T change you're Name on PSN. Oh and by the way I said " 
I know it's a bit childish but it seems to be the only way that they do something for their money and community!"


Anything is better than shut up and let them do what they do since a few year's now! Thats simply not right from Codies! And thats the only way to get noticed from them!

I definitely do NOT have this bug in my Career mode (patch 1.9) - in my second season driving for Renault and I struggle to keep up with Hulkenburg. All other team mates seem equal as well (Bottas and Kimi win races). Have noticed Ocon is a bit slower than Perez though but not significantly. And most teams tend to have the same speed trap reading each race.
Am I just not far enough into career to see the effect of this bug or am I just lucky?

I started the career mode when the game first came out with the first update (1.3 or 1.4?). Maybe the bug didn't exist right from the start and was a actually a problem with a later patch..

Either way, hope it gets fixed quickly for those affected, I wouldn't keep playing if my career had the bug

It wont be the last patch. Because they posted on a thread in the tech assistance forum that the grid penalties bug would be getting fixed "in a future patch". And that was posted 1 day before 1.9 came out. So sinxe its not in the patch notes for 1.10 it should be in 1.11 or 2.0 or whatever. 
I'm praying this is the case. I just wish they'd take 1 minute out of their time to keep us updated considering the seriousness of the issue - an F1 game where your teammate ends up practically absent just isn't fun, not to mention immersion-breaking. I want the Senna/Prost drama of battling with him.

We're not asking for much, just one little post, a bit of news. I think it's only @CmRachel who's properly active on the forums now. :(

I refuse to believe it's an impossible fix - they fixed the player side of the issue, surely they can fix the AI side. And it only seems to be engine related - people saying they get it with (at least) Sauber too, saw a guy streaming as Sauber today who'd only updated chassis and aero, and he & Ericsson were in the top 10. But because McLaren is automatically "Omg, upgrade all the engine bits!", it's probably why it's standing out as more of a McLaren issue.

I experienced it in my 3rd season with sauber, now i deleted that save and waiting till this gets fixed before i start a new mclaren career. It happens in Williams too

It seems it is affecting mostly the Mclaren team. Alonso is a lot slower than I am in the speed traps.

I thought the issue was localized to McLaren but some have reported teams like Williams and sauber as well. I know it is for fact an issue with McLaren because I can easily fly by Alonso on the straights. It might not be an issue for Renault

Can you remember what upgrades you applied and how far into the season(s) it took before your teammate started becoming noticeably slow?

Yeah, I've heard Renault don't seem to be affected by it. Only instances I've heard Williams being affected is people putting it down to Stroll, as their teammate, being shockingly slow, but he's like that all that time whether you're driving for Williams or not.

I had about 30% done in each category besides Engine and Gearbox Reliability. And it really became noticeable at the final race of Season 2

This is serious. If it's really true, people have to know that. They can't get away with this!
Hopefully they do the same with the other 21 cars and give us a full 2002 season.  Wow...ripping off other modders. I think CM just dug themselves a 10 foot grave.

They seem to ignore us completely at this point. Not only the career mode teammate bug, but generally the online as well is not working at all. They are making minor fixes every patch that still do not get the general stability of the game back. We had Safety Cars every time there was a yellow flag, FIVE in total and they don't want to know until many more complain. I want a Formula 1 game where i can have a stable, bugless online championship. So far i have not even have 1 bugless session, in open lobbies or in leagues.

Kept hoping on release for fixes because the BETA was supposedly very good.
Now it is just a waste of money.
