speeddemon8021 0 Posted November 17, 2017 I wasn't going to buy this years game based on the disgraceful support offered for last years but the the bald face lie that was the beta convinced me to change my mind, what a fool I was well once bitten twice shy and all that,I still haven't bought Pcars2 because of my now near paranoia about racing game devs and will certainly not be putting money in the pockets of these clowns any more and would happily walk round with a sandwich board on encouraging the world to do the same. Just enough gametime to realize I've done the right thing. SO you haven't played it, therefore are very restricted as to what you can say. Anyone who doesn't play it and then carries on about how bad it is really is inaccurate That's an old trap: "You can't comment if you haven't bought the game."...As if buying the game makes anybody care about complaints. Then if you buy it & have complaints, people will say: "That's your fault for not researching the game more before buying it."That's like the catch-22 with Steam reviews when people notice how many hours somebody put into a game they reviewed negatively:"You only played a few hours, so your comments don't mean anything until you play it more."...and its counterpart: "If you didn't like it, you must be stupid for spending 50+ hours playing it." Now, after their respoonse they will never repair it and want us to just buy next years game where they 'hope' it will be fixed.... no seriously? Never again. 2017 was returned for a full refund yesterday and I am only hanging around to see what CM migh actually learn from listening to us as customers, instead of just thinking they are right and we are whinging over 'small' issues. Resting on their laurels with recent win of 2016 racing game of the year, supposedly this excuses them from being appathetic towards all of us. They are proud of their releases, while customers are appalled. They won't learn from this. And even if they do it won't change their m.o

RiverGod4 0 Posted November 17, 2017 I will be waiting. I love F1 but I will not let codemasters disappoint me on Day 1 this time around. Also I'm not sure how much the HALO will obstruct my view from the TV camera angle I use.

Chromatic 127 Posted November 17, 2017 It's getting to the point where you know something is going to go wrong before game is released. Bugs are bound to happen but the sheer number of things wrong with the game at release bring's quality control into question. Before the game going from beta to gold. And then release to the public. Yeah, but for a company to just not bother updating a game anymore is bad. They'll lose a lot of customers because of this and they don't seem to care. Liaveil 137 Posted November 17, 2017 I'd been a day one buyer for a while but for the last few I've waited a while before doing so. Most of the time I've had a trouble free experience by doing that. The teammate issue this year has convinced me to wait even longer to see whether it'll be worth buying as despite waiting a bit for 2017, I still can't enjoy the mode I bought the game for.As of right now, with no fix for some of the major issues and not even a performance update on the horizon to at least minimise the impact, I'm currently not even bothering with 2018. If they at least do what they can to compensate for the teammate issue for this years game in another patch and then have it fully fixed in 2018, along with the other current issues being sorted and no more unfixable issues due to poor design choices, then maybe I'll consider it when it gets to patch 1.05. It's easy to lose a customers faith, much harder to get it back.
Tway 6 Posted November 18, 2017 I do not see 'my option' here.I love F1 2017. While it has its issues, and while I think it's misguided to try and start arguments with people that are disappointed, I am pouring hour upon hour into this game and enjoying nearly every second of it, and do not have anything especially bad to say about CodeMasters. But I will most likely not get F1 2018.I say "most likely" because I will probably hang around here when they start dropping information, and my imagination is powerful enough to be able to imagine an F1 2018 that I absolutely NEED to get, I do not believe that that's what we're going to get.I've never been too fussed with the small changes every year because I do not buy the game every year, I buy when it looks like it'll be worth my money, to me. I got nearly everything I was after with F1 2017, and it'll keep me happy throughout next season as well.

ChironTheseus 48 Posted November 18, 2017 For the first time.. Yes first time, I will wait and see how it goes. I am keeping 2016 anyway for career pleasure but the teammate issue and how it has become seemingly shunned with "maybe" or "look into it" comments from officials rather than "yes we will sort it" I have to admit I am a little dubious to paying out full price for games with issues that effect game play enjoyment. MrGhostO1O 145 Posted November 18, 2017 I am part of the league racing community that is a great percentage of the players of Codemasters F1 series since 2010. I play career mode sometimes between league races. Since F1 2010, i feel like that the developers or managers or whoever are in charge, have not supported the league racing community even after the great growth in league and player numbers. It really saddens me to see that the official FIA Formula 1 game developers/managers care less about the online aspect and their communities than others, like the ones from Project Cars, who have league support for spectators and the races themselves (custom graphics, more league specific functions, general online stability etc.).Online seems to always be at the bottom of the list of the things they want to improve or build on. Adding the countless bugs and instability issues online and in career mode, i will have to think far more than twice before i invest further into this company, even if i was selected to test the BETA version of F1 2018 for free after applying. SmTuNgg 0 Posted November 19, 2017 Not going to get it as it's not worth the price. Buying a game that is buggy is equivalent to using iOS 11 with bugs.

scottishwildcat 187 Posted November 19, 2017 You seem to be missing the most basic answer that most people apply to most game purchases: "Yes, if it's any good. Otherwise, no".
daemun 0 Posted November 20, 2017 No with an exception. I will not buy another codemasters f1 until it has been COMPLETELY rebuilt from the ground up. No more recycled menus, character animations and models, cutscenes, physics, tire model and ai. I’ve had enough paying for the same bugs year after year because the game is so heavily copy pasted. AND if I ever have to wait through a cutscene where a character tells me to hold on WHILE THEY TAKE A FRACKING PHONE CALL and I cant at least skip it I will NEVER buy another CM game again simply out of principle. I dont care if that means waiting an extra year or even 2 for the next title. The new cars next year can be added as dlc for all I care. I might pay $10 for that but will not pay another $60 for the same copypasta.
