Thanks @tbtstt I only missed an s, I thought I would be way off. It does seem that Timmy is really quick. He will be a threat through out the season. I am also impressed by how Bakkerud has adapted to that Audi S1. I hope he can unlock the full potential to that car so that he can challenge for wins. Bakkerud is one of my favorites because he always puts on a good show and overall a great guy. I also can't wait for the USA round and more ARX. World RX is shaping up to be really good this season.

Bakkerud was really impressive at Silverstone, and he's been consistent, so he's challenging for the title. Timmy seems to be a threat at most rounds, but he's slowly dropping out of the title hunt with bad results.
The next race is Hell which is my favorite RX track so I hope Bakkerud can grab the win there.
2016 style.  B)

I'd far rather Rally and Rallycross be two separate games and both fully fleshed out. WRC game and and licensed rallycross game would be great.

It all felt so empty in Dirt 4. Never enough rally content.

Awesome shots @tbtstt. Those Subaru's look awesome in the ARX. I can't wait to see more RX action this week!

That race was my favorite of the 2016 season. It was so epic! Loved every seconded of it. I remember watching it in a hotel in California, I had my headphones on so I was the only person cheering in the room. :D

Absolutely! Was hoping to get to Hell, but I agree to do something with the missus this weekend, so I had to scrap my plans and settle with watching it on TV!

Have to wait until Canada and COTA to see the ARX again, the Subaru's are very nice.

I would have loved to have gone, but my Silverstone fix will have to do for this year!

I wanted to do either a wrx or wrc event abroad this year but I don’t think that’s happening! Hopefully I can go to Rally gb, but I may be competing on it instead, which isn’t a bad trade off!

I'd say that's a pretty good trade off! I am hoping to go Loheac later in the year. One of the guys I work with is interested in doing Rally GB this year, so I am hoping to convince him to car share there: it's a bit pricey to do solo!

Am already looking at doing Norway or Sweden next year. The last year of petrol Supercars in the World Championship, so need to do as many rounds as possible.

You will get some amazing pictures in Norway, not just of the track. It's a really nice part of the country too.

I go to Holjes this year. As already said after next year the wrx goes electric what most likely means I'm out of it.

Well ERX is still going to continue with regular supercars if I'm correct
Yeah, that's correct. There has been talk about a separate World Championship for petrol Supercars if there was enough interest, but I think the remaining petrol cars will all go to the European Championship.

I don’t think the racing will change too much when they go electric, but you will lose so much atmosphere at the tracks without the noise of a good old petrol engine. It doesn’t come across quite as well on tv, but when you witness it live it does add to the whole experience!

And @tbtstt are you planning on staying in a hotel or sleeping in the forests for gb? I spent one night in the forest last year and hated it! Got about 2 hours sleep, the rest of it people were shouting and setting off fireworks all night! Luckily I had a hotel for the remaining nights

Agree 110% with you there. If the minimum weight is dropped it's likely that the electric cars will be even faster than the petrol cars, but the sound is all part of the spectacle of a pack of rallycross cars launching off the line and that is (I think) going to detract a lot from the experience.

Despite my dislike of camping, I was thinking sleeping in the forests, though I had already assumed that I would get a crap nights sleep if I did it that way!

That saddens me. Like what was said before, when you go to the event live there is nothing like it on earth! The Rallycross race I was at had that amazing sound and atmosphere. I wonder why they have to change super cars to electric. Why not just make another category named Electric RX or something? That way you can still have the Audi’s and VW’s in the world championship and the electric ones on the side.

I think it depends, if you’re going to do it that way, I’d recommend bringing a tent and tracking into the forest during the night to get as far away from the car parks as possible! I spoke to a few people that had done that and they said it was alright. I stayed in Oswestry last year in a premier inn and woke up early to drive in. Most forests were about an hour/an hour and a half away so it wasn’t too bad, but looking at this year’s route it doesn’t look quite as central

Money rules and a lot of that money comes from manufacturers. They are the ones who want to go electric. Understandable from there point of view and business case, but the end for wrx as we know it.

Yeah, as @Janneman60 said, it was the manufacturers who wanted it @DiRTKiNG808. Peugeot would only agree to commit to the Championship this year on the proviso that it introduced electric as soon as possible. As the start of this year there were nine manufacturers all seriously interested in electric rallycross. It may not be what the fans want, but it's definitely got the interest of the manufacturers.

I'll be honest I haven't got as far as looking at the route yet. The Premier Inn definitely sounds like the better option to me. If I do end up going for the camping option I'll be sure to pack my ear defenders!

I said it many many times, if you go all electric, you will lose.  Ever watch starwars (or name your favorite action movie) on mute?  Of course not, but thats what will it will br like watching WRX.

What will DiRT 6 sound like with electric WRX cars.  Are my speakers broke?? No they are electric cars, there is no sound...

Can't they do something like this? I know it will be fake as hell but it would be better than no sound on the cars

Star Wars isn't exactly the best example because there is no sound in space... But we're all petrol heads here so we get what you're saying ;)

And Johan wins yet again. A clean sweep nontheless. I should be excited. But I’m not, its like wrc and wrx changed places. WRC went from being predictable with a dominating team to a frantic clash between drivers where a bunch of drivers can win rallies. I mean just look at the powerstage earlier today, it was an epic battle to the end. WRX has sadly become the predictable one which is quite a shame because it was the unpredictability was what I loved about WRX when it started back in 2014
