Really not that hard to work out what I was getting at

"Very little work done".

Yeah, right.

Well it hasn't improved, if anything gotten worse

Are you whinging about other games while you're simultaneously telling others to stop whinging about F1 games?

No actually, I am demonstrating what a number of people here are doing. Whinging and not giving anything to improve the game, my point, if you whinge, you better have some reasoning on what needs to be fixed

So where's your detailed list of step-by-step technical instructions on exactly how to debug & fix the other games you're whinging about?

Well, at least I have racing experience, I don't have intentions to run Le Mans, as of yet. You know very little about my racing, so maybe shut it. All I ever see you do is complain and  never give codemasters or anyone credit, and once again,  SGTKubica is trying to make a CONSTRUCTIVE point, and your kind go and cause issues by saying it will never happen and the rest. There are a number I could name here who are useless to the community, and 1, don't have the game, yet speak like they know all the coding and everything in it. 2, are willing to cause tension, 3, couldn't provide useful information to Codemasters if their life depended on it, and 4, cry when they see someone rocking off the common view
Racing experience? LOL, anyone can make such claims online. The fact remains that you do not need to be an expert in programming to criticise a product that you have PAID £45 or so for. If your doctor messed up, I'm sure you would criticise or even sue him/her.

Project cars 2:

Physics need repairing, cars drive like a dog, and feel NOTHING like a real car

Career mode could be more in depth by adding more teams as well as increasing difficulty as well as making an extended championship.

Other then that its tolerable

The Battlefronts (1 and 2)
Add a more in depth campaign spanning over maybe more then one era, perhaps clone wars either before the betrayal or after to tell us more of what happened between 3 and 4. As a campaign battlefront 2 is ok, but could be better, for solo playing, add more eras and legions and it would be right to go.

Nascar heat evolution
Work on physics to remove rubber banding, allow teams to be optional for the player and fix sound, your set to go.

f1 2017
Once you fix the McLaren bug (which is) safety car frequency and online, it'll be good to go.

So, while I haven't elaborated on the technicalities I have give feedback useful to a  company, not this whole vote with your wallet or codemasters are incompetent, how the hell is that useful, like us they are human, yes communication could be better, for sure, but these useless insults to the company are not helpful or for that matter needed. Like I say, gaming would be hard, to program things in a span of 8 months for people who want everything under the sun and then expect it to be perfect is a joke.

I'll elaborate on it too, many people have been USEFUL for future games by asking to add GP3 and GP2, well while I like the idea, its dumb to think an annual can introduce it. On top of that there is the expectation of sponsors on helmets and suits, well I don't know if you have seen the way FIA and F1 have gone and been very strict with legalities. Also, if you demand small things like a HUD and the small like, instead of letting them fix possible bugs in career mode and online.

Now, I suggest you give the technicalities if this in your eyes isn't an acceptable thing to propose to companies, and to those who are here doing this exact thing, well done, but I have an issue with the whingers who complain and report people over petty things like someone disagreeing with you is petty, and if you want to play that game, bring it on, we can all play at that game

Plenty of people here have documented loads of details on bugs/glitches/issues in F1 games over multiple installments, but much of it seems to fall of deaf ears when every new installment has some of the same issues from before along with a list of new issues. At that point, it seems clear they're not listening to our requests & complaints - they're only listening to sales numbers... in which case, the only way to speak their language is to let our wallets do the talking if we want them to hear us. Feedback hasn't worked. Money talks louder than social media & forum posts.

To have worked developing the same game series for 9 years and still have so many bugs/glitches/issues at each launch is a joke.

1 as for project cars, I race in real life, for a game that claims to be a 'sim' its a joke. Go Karts are nothing like the ones in game, nor are a number of cars.

2. In regards to the glitches, and bugs, they happen, to say they aren't listening is ridiculous, they have added things we want. On your logic, Iracing never listen because the V8 Supercar tyre physics fail up from time to time. Seriously, I am done trying to argue logic into a people who think it would be easy to make a game but have no experience. Just like race cars, people who think its easy and the rot that they hang on drivers should give themselves an uppercut and be ashamed

I never said it was easy. I said after 9 years & 9 installments, reliable functional quality at launch should be a lot better.

I'd love to see some of the hypocrites here make a game with technology now, none of us would be able to think of how hard it is with a group of whingers on their case, they have added what we wanted, yes its not perfect but they ARE listening. What do they get, nothing but whinge, whinge, whinge
Allow me to correct you;

Group of whingers - Group of paying CUSTOMERS
hypocrites - Dissatisfied CUSTOMERS

Correct me if im wrong, but all your post does is give codemasters confidence that their customer base is indeed satisfied, if you feel that way great. But I'd stop short of calling those that dont agree hypocrites.

I don't get the pCars hate. A new Studio tried to do something brand new from the ground up. I didn't even know it was coming out and bought it the day I bought Xbox because there wasn't anything else really - F1 15 hadn't launched yet and Forza plain annoys me. "Hmmmmm whats this pCars for 45 in Asda?"

On pad to begin, pCars was amazing looking but needed a lot of  tweaking my pad settings (on top of needing a lot of fixes.). As they documented broken things on their forums, we knew what they were looking at.  Fixes we could be pretty sure would come because there were monthly track and car packs to release, and support could release some of those patches alongside. But it was also good to talk to the lead devs and see how they were approaching the community.
Being able to go on their forums, make suggestions or Rant and get an answer from one of their head honcho's, or some pretty cool mods was great, especially compared to here.

Here, you have 1 form of motorsport to try and get right. With pCars they have multiple. With all the different cars and dynamics, that game is pretty amazing. Compare the in depth setups to the absolute tosh we are given here. 11/1 or real (or close as dammit) style setups? I'll take the realistic ones everytime, thanks.
Open Wheelers were amazing. From Formula Rookie to the pCars version of an earlier F1 car, all handled much better than the crap in '15. Formula C alone was probably the single greatest racing experience I've had on the Xbox. pCars Support lasted for their game way way beyond the point I stopped playing F1 15, and the devs stopped caring about it and moved onto '16. For pCars I bought all their add on packs, no problem whatsoever.

In the end I refunded '16 and went back to pCars after buying a wheel and was able to enjoy it anew.

With pCars 2, I decided I didn't want to get that until patched as feeling was they'd likely bitten off more than they can chew. But really, look at what they have tried to bring. Off Road, Indy Ovals and so on. F1 doesn't really bring anything new and hence my contsant disappointment in Codemasters. Condisering there is so much less to what goes into the game, its frankly shocking they keep having issues. From year to year the changes aren't all that great, no new game/graphic/engine, copy and pasted from previous games "new features", stinking support on the forums, Devs who rarely if ever interact with the community on the forums, and still the game is constantly being broken as CODEMASTERS try and fix other things.

So I agree with some things you occasionally come out with @mceci1 but I don't agree with your constant dumping on pCars. You sound like a guy I know who hated that game then found out he hadn't been warming his freaking tyres and found that the game was an absolute joy once he gave it a chance.

But lets get back to discussing what Codemasters can do about their past, present and future iterations of print money Formula 1.

@mceci1

["I never said F1 2017s faults were acceptable, I said they shouldn't have to see whinging, its constructive to no one, explain, with reason how to fix it. That is far from what people are doing here lately."]

So by your indirect undertone, or rather your indirect logic, the people that have been giving constructive criticism, new and fresh ideas and or detailed bug and glitch reports for straight 9 years (or at least for 1 or more years) over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again don't have the right to publicly show their frustration (this is a forum right? anyone is free to publicly express themselves as long as they do not harm others and or try to silence different opinions, in this case the socalled "hypocrites" and "whingers" are victim of your condescending commentary and personal attacks) about the very own company that has been ripping their fanbase off whilst making empty promises to fix issues in the next installment (not to mention blatantly lying and stealing content) just to have those issues reappear continously to the point that all hope is lost and the only logical conclusion to be made is that the devs at Codemasters very likely are not in full charge of how they want to create their game but their shareholders and financial department always have got the last word.

Nothing new to be honest just like the very questionable business models and decisions being enforced in many other larger and even smaller gaming companies this is just the sad and tragic part of our modern times, as we have evidently seen from time to time all over the planet.

Continuing this cycle of trust, tolerance and patience to give constructive criticism etc. and expecting to be heard by the devs is simply put defeatist and shows that some people unfortunately seem to be a little bit naive to believe in these fairytales.

The only logical language that modern gaming companies universally understand is the flow of money and currency.

Still the way our voices have been handled over the past years it seems as if Codies wouldn't give two flying f**** if a expertly gifted programmer / artist / engineer / driver etc. would thoroughly analyze the game engine code / audiovisuals / gamedesign flaws / handling model / physics etc. and sent a detailed list of hotfixes or reports or ideas etc. to their letter box as people blindly keep buying the same defective, mediocre, copy & paste products without hestitation and as modern companies do not care about us at all because more often than not they are only in for the profits and money alone.

So why should they even bother and try to listen to the critics, the laymans, the frustrated, the hopeful, the loyal, the naive etc. in the first place?

This is the unfiltered and harsh reality of todays gaming branche as it has been infiltrated by crooked businessmen in dark and grey suits, sharks and wolves willing to cannibilize anything that even remotely spits out cash.

This ridiculous focus on scamming and repeating the same procedures without mercy was to be expected as the gaming branche did skyrocket over the past 30 years and as we live in a more or less hypercapitalistic system that is based on pure competition and the notion of survival of the fittest (as long as there are competitors to battle with that is, sadly this isn't a scenario that holds any effective ground in Codies F1 series as they are the only haming company on this planet to have access to the F1 licence as of now so they do not have to fear being overtaken by competitors especially as the consumers voluntarily enable these very predatory practices of a obvious scam just to get hands on some good ol' F1 racing action) in this world for the most part and if people let these companies run loose the people will pretty much ultimately lose their voice and eventually even their will to loudly shout NO as they indirectly get conditioned to accept mediocrity and scam as the default state of affairs.

Boycotting such anti-consumer / anti-developer / anti-artist companies by not buying their "cashcows" first hand is the only way to make them know that we have had enough of their "kool aid" and that we expect nothing less than quality.

#VoteWithYourWallet

------------------------------

PS: I've been playing F1 since the early 2000's and was onboard of Codemasters iterations since F1 2010.

Either way i've been on this forum since 2013 (felt obliged to give some feedback as i had hope in Codemasters during my playtime of F1 2010 - F1 2012 back in the days) but lost my password of my older account unfortunately so i created this current one in 2016 and have been giving constructive criticism, new and fresh ideas and or detailed bug and glitch reports for many years already as many other "loyal" fans / members of either the motorsports (F1) or the company behind the F1 game (Codemasters) have done so as well.

But now the nerves have been stretched for far too long.

The point of no return has been crossed already so of course many people on this forum, me included, will be more and more inclined to vent off their frustration as it basically didn't matter how much constructive criticism we have been giving Codemasters, eventually they kept on going regardless of our shared disappointment and thus spreading the alternative idea of either boycotting and or buying Codies games second hand so that their sales will drop in order to make them prioritize quality over empty promises is a solution that will be beneficial for the players and the company respectively.

In my honest opinion it's always better to have a fully functional high quality product that takes time to make, rather than having a halfarsed mediocre piece of s*** being produced without any love or heart in its core and that should be the standard to be expected from day one as the default!

I don't actually care whether you race or not. It's not actually relevant to the discussion and I'll never know either way. The point being made (which you sidestepped) was that you don't have to be an expert to criticise someone/something. Like I said, if your doctor misdiagnosed you, I'm sure you'd criticise him/her at the very least, even though you don't have his/her medical knowledge.

So nobody has to be an expert at making computer games to criticise a product which they have paid for. I still don't even know why you come into these threads. If you're enjoying the game, that's great, but why argue with people who are having a different experience? What you call "whinge, whinge, whinge" is mostly constructive feedback regarding real glitches and bugs that ruin the experience for many. Why you have a problem with this is beyond me.

The million dollar question is why those who have "never seen a bug" or "only play career".. have never then said "ok, let me try an online championship with a few friends and see what all this bug/desync/ghost wall/disconnect/SC/yellow flag etc is all about"...

It's literally like living in a bad neighbourhood, but if your street is ok then theres no problems riiight.... (this is what we call ignorance).

@mceci1 the way your posts come across, they do make you sound quite petulant (regardless of if you are or not)... just try to understand the concerns of those around you, like @LilBrown47 said...some of us have been going through this for 8/9 years, frustration (or as you call it whinging) is completley acceptable at this stage.

STOP DEFENDING CODEMASTERS IF YOU DO NOT UNDERSTAND THE PROBLEM!

Excuse you, but I run the online aspects and offline, online is a joke. I too have been around since F1 2010. If you read our post in another thread, this who abusive way, is a joke, it exists on both sides, you say this is ok, you get attacked by the likes of you. You don't like being attacked, don't launch out on a hate tirade against HUMANS in codemasters, THAT is what I am defending, I couldn't care less about the game, I wont stand for hate to people, and as I said today, if you are willing to try funny things on others, I'll do the same to you

Just wanted to agree that F1 2018 for better or worse will be the last Codemasters F1 game for a while (for better or worse). Looks like it'll move back to being a Sony exclusive because of Liberty Media's ownership of QVC and HSN.

I agree mate, SONY made some great F1 games.

I would love to see them competing against Codemasters and Slightly Mad Studios as well as the likes of Reiza / Kunos / ISI / SimBin / iRacing etc., let them have a glorious battle of creativity and quality and let us see who makes the best F1 related games as only a healthy but fierce form of competition brings out the best in humanity.
