F1 2017 crashes just prior to start of Australian GP (Career/ModernF1/Xbox1)

Recommended Posts

Hello. I've been forced to consult with tech support due to this issue, that is seemingly unsolvable on my own.
I'm currently playing (or more accurately - attempting to play) F1 2017 ver. 1.11 on Xbox One, Career Mode, Modern F1 cars, Australian GP. After completing practice, and qualifying, the game will not load the race. Instead, it reverts to the home screen, forcing me to restart F1 2017. Upon restart, it returns me to the beginning of the last qualifying session that I just completed.
In an attempt to resolve this, I hard reset the Xbox. Tried again - same result. Restarted network. Tried again - same result. I then uninstalled F1 2017, then reinstalled, hard reset everything. I also deleted my driver, essentially starting the game from scratch again. After starting the game all over again, and arriving at the point the Australian GP should start again, same result - I get booted to the home screen, requiring me to restart the game. Aaaargh!
Obviously, this is very frustrating/time consuming, hence, my presence on this forum, searching for a solution.
Help please. Thanks

This has been happening to me for the past few days no matter what I do including starting a new save, redownloading the game, or restarting my Xbox it keeps crashing at the end of qualifying 3 in Melbourne and starting over again. I'm really looking for a solution

There is a temporary work around for the game crashes. Try to play without connecting the xbox to the network and see if it works

The work-around does work, but it's a pain in the ass, especially if you game-share your Xbox. Hopefully the developers fix this soon, I'm also getting tired of screwing around with this.

Very strange...are you sure you disconnected the xbox before starting the game? Try again; otherwise my guessing is that there might be a problem with the disc

Hi there.  We have had the same problem in that you can finish the Australia Grand Prix and then in the invitational event after that, it crashes as soon as we finish one lap.  This can’t be a problem with the disc.   PLEASE PROVIDE A SOLUTION.

Have you tried the work around provided several times in several discussion, even above?
I'm a user, I don't provide solutions. Keep the caps down man

I tried the play game offline and it worked for me on Xbox One.  Just go to settings then network settings then press the a button then go offline then go back to game once you finish go back the go online
