Need help w/ f1 2017

Recommended Posts

Just recently got back into the world of video gaming. Love f1 2017. Always enjoyed racing games. Couple things tho. I have a controller, not a wheel at the moment. It makes sharp turns nearly impossible. I lose tons of time. Advice? And finally, any advice for what the AI difficulty should be? I'm currently on 97% with career mode with Haas. I finished on the back end of the points in 7 of my first 8 races (Monaco the exception). When the races get going I always get a great start and gain at least a few positions quickly, but then it seems like I never catch who is in front and I have to defend from the back so much I can hardly concentrate on anything else. Should I lower it? Raise it up?

First of all welcome to the glorious pad world. For sharp turns there's not much u can do really, just be smooth on exit and possible on entry. For the hairpin at Monaco try and aim to get hooked on the curb.

What platform are you on for the lag spikes?
I'd say since ur new leave the ai there and try to learn off them.

I hope to have a wheel soon. It makes those turns such a headache. And it's hard to have alot of finesse for me with a pad. I use Xbox one.

turning more is the rear wheel toe slider. To the left is more turn,to the right is less turn. The diff settings let you adjust more or less turn on the throttle and when coasting separately. The steering linearity setting in the control option effect turn also. Moving the brakes more to the rear give alittle more turn under braking itself. I suggest getting use to the car in quick race to feel what a fully upgraded car feels like before doing career because the none upgraded career car handling is just, well its just awfull.

I have been looking online for controller settings like you're mentioning. It has improved but still getting killed. I guess until you get a wheel you just have to find the happy medium. I did mess around with just about all the cars before I started career. I'm currently with Haas and it has understeer like no tomorrow.

@PapesB710, if you are in a position to purchase a wheel & pedals go for it, you will never look back.
