I think the short answer is no.They have moved on to the next game thus abandoning support for the current one and so the vicious circle begins again.

Cars/skins: definitely no.
Bug fixes: I wouldn't bet any money on it happening.

Normally they tell us what the last update is before they shift total focus to F1 2018. They haven't done that yet so I think we can expect one more patch  soon.

I suspected they were trolling us, now I'm sure.

After months of silence, without any decent comment on the tons of bugs of this game ... Without ever expressed at least the awareness of having proposed an unworthy online ... Now they even do us a lesson on how the online game works?!?

And what should we do with this info?!?

We in our championships are all Italians and we are in Italy, we certainly do not have the problem of having people from Australia with a ridiculus ping!

The problems of this game are NOT related to the poor connections of the players, I do not accept that Codemasters discharge the responsibilities for their bugs on us. Besides being ridiculous, they also pretend to come out clean from this mess.

This game is an insult and their behavior is offensive to the whole community that is supporting them. Since too long already.

Hi @Lopensky, as in the original post, we know some are experiencing issues with multiplayer. Our original post contains things you can do in order to make your experience the best it can be. As we also said in our original post: we are always looking at ways to do better.

We're in the process of putting together our plans to bring our testing processes forward for the next projects, this is something we're still very much doing. In the meantime, we very much want to hear and collect as much information as possible about the issues you're still experiencing.

"We're in the process of putting together our plans to bring our testing processes forward for the next projects, this is something we're still very much doing."

Sounds pretty much like a "No-No" for more F1 2017 updates.

IF you read between the lines in other threads they more or less have said they've moved on so I'd be surprised if there were any more patches.

That is a quote from Jenny in another thread it says without actually saying they've moved on to the next game.

I love how you say it's too early for 2018 while they are probably gearing up to travel to the winter tests to collect data and sounds.

Regardless, i highly doubt that they still work on the current game. It is already mid January. Unless they have pumped up the size of their dev team, they most likely already started working on new assets as well as features for the new game and are unable to work on both games at once. If they are not already working on the new stuff already then they are planning them now at least. March is usually the time they show off what they have already regarding the new assets and features to the Alpha testers (Tiametmarduk, Aarava, and all the other YouTubers), so they only have two months time.

The bug reports from F1 2017 are probably taken over to fixing for F1 2018, at least the one they do not ignore :)

They wont release a statement for F1 2017 saying development has been ceased because they know they didn't do a great job and they will get mostly backlash from the statement. I am honestly glad that are starting to develop this new game because the longer they develop it the better this new game SHOULD be. If there's one thing companys hate it is backlash, Codemasters are not talking with the community as much anymore because they know they screwed up this game but don't want to admit it. Honestly I think it would make things a bit better if they just said, 'Look we screwed up'. I doubt that they'll say that though,

Can't see much of a backlash. All those 9 and 9.5 out of tens in the reviews are all that counts most likely.

Bottom line guys....dont buy this years game on release, or indeed in the first few months...
Wait until the players (not the youtubers, not the "reviewers", not the beta testers) have given feedback on the game.

...Should be a simple decision then.

Dont let the codemasters cycle fool you again!

Nah I won't be buying F1 2018 either.  Let's be honest, there are unfixed problems every year and we're expected to just keep happily paying.

Just to add, I will buy it after release if it's received unwavering, mind-blowing positive feedback with none of these stupid bugs manifesting.

I really hope they patch the rain in career cus it’s ridiculous. The pit stop bug from f1 2010 reappeared this game and was never fixed too :(

A lot of people sound surprised no more support will be given ... what do you expect? This is an inherent problem when games have yearly releases. That's just the nature of the sport, not just for F1 but pretty much every other sport that has a yearly season.
I've said this before but F1 needs to move to a subscription based model where the team can constantly release updates, possibly even have a play-along with the real life championship, create scenarios etc. I'd happily pay $10-$20 month for
a) a game I'll never have to purchase again and
b) one that is constantly being updated
