TheFluffinator 0 Posted February 17, 2018 Hi,I've been trying to figure out how to troubleshoot my voice control setup in F1 2017. As it stands, I have a button assigned, have tried multiple microphones, and have looked through all of the audio settings, but can't seem to find any way to enable my microphone in F1 2017 to talk to "Jeff" during races. I.E. I press the assigned VC key, and get a menu with only the red speech bubble. Is there a hidden setting/launch switch that I need to alter to get F1 2017 to recognize my mic or enable this functionality? Some additional information regarding my setup: I use an old Logitech MOMO Wheel, and a Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 Interface as my audio I/O. I suppose it's possible that the ASIO driver could be the problem, but it seems to be a consistent process across all of the devices that I've tried, including a webcam and another dedicated USB gaming headset (that's basically garbage at this point, hence my use of my work gear). Thanks in advance. steviejay69 1,100 Posted February 17, 2018 When mine stopped working I reinstalled the game.A Steam backup is quicker than downloading (takes about 40GB disk space).

Normally, you'd be right, but as it turns out it's faster for me to re-download the game, thanks to some wicked fast speeds. I'll give it a shot, but realistically, if this solves the problem, that just means that there's some config that is run on install that I should be able to run/change. TheFluffinator 0 Posted February 17, 2018 Welp, that worked. I watched it reinstall all of the speech recog libraries; guess that's what it was missing.

Ho3n3r 122 Posted February 20, 2018 If it really was just missing files, a Verify Game Integrity would've solved it.

Justy1980 0 Posted June 13, 2018 I got it working by downloading thishttps://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=40277and thishttps://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=34809
MrGhostO1O 145 Posted June 14, 2018 Before uninstalling/installing or adding any third party software to get it to work, try to enable your microphone manually on your headset.I also had the same issue and figured out that if my microphone is raised vertically, therefore disabled, when starting the game then it will not work even when tilting it back horizontally to enable it. Always have your mic enabled in its horizontal position when starting the game.If that does not work then try the other things.
Justy1980 0 Posted June 14, 2018 Its a driver issue that appears after updating windows. It´s missing files of kinect voice of microsoft after i manual downloaded the files in the links of my post and installed them it works again.Reinstalling or verifying game files won´t work because it´s not a game file what is missing they are system files for windows.
