[BUG] [PS4] [F1 2017] Behavior of the AI driver becomes strange due to weather change

Recommended Posts

This phenomenon occurs when the weather changes complicatedly.
Even if the road surface changes from wet to dry, they continue to use wet tires. Also, they pit in every lap.
Conversely, even if the road surface changes from dry to wet, they continue to use dry tires. Again, they will pit in every lap.

This phenomenon occurs frequently in Singapore GP. I do not know the occurrence condition. However, this phenomenon has occurred in other courses as well.

If possible, I hope that this phenomenon will be improved with "F1 2017".
Also, I expect that this phenomenon does not occur in "F1 2018".

I've had this two races in a row as of late. Weather changes and half the field come in to pit as if they're ready to change to intermediates or wets and, instead, leave with a dry set of tyres.

I've cataloged all results of my career with every race being 100% race distance. This severe glitch is new as it has not happened until just recently.

Two races in a row I've had Vettel leading by a 30+ seconds, only to be crippled by this glitch and finish 10th.

It appears as though around half the field is affected each time. Which reminds me of the crippling glitch that was introduced into F1 2015 with its final patch, CodeDisasters decided against patching what they had broken.

So why has this happened this time? As far as I'm aware the PS4 version wasn't getting any new updates...

My message to Codemasters? Get your act together, and rectify the problem, this happens far too often at the latter stages of your titles.

I think that it is meaningful to report. I think that it is important for people to report. No! No! → "There is no need for you to issue a report because others have already published reports"

It is important. But your post accomplishes nothing. This is a well known issue already, and it definitely won't get fixed for 2017.

What happens in 2018, who knows.

It is meaningful to report but it has already been, and Codemasters know about this issue. In the thread I posted the link of there were even some solutions to the problem. Nothing has been done about it though. So yes, you're perfectly right to say that it's important to report issues but if there isn't the will to fix them by the game company itself there's not much to do...
