F1 2017 PS4 Pro - TH8A not being recognized with Thrustmaster T150

Recommended Posts

I am on a PS4 Pro just bought F1 2017. I own Thrustmaster T150 with T3PA pedals they work fine I also have TH8A shifter add-on the game don't recognize it being there connect to the wheel base or via USB to the PS4. i've tried it in the career mode, gran prix mode, and time trial. Under calibration it reads the inputs of the TH8A, but will not work under gameplay with Manual mode or Manual Clutch mode either.

The TH8A works with GT Sport, Dirt 4, an Dirt Rally perfectly. So I know I has to be a bug with this game.

Is is there anyone else's having this issue or is there a fix?

I'm going to suggest you connect to a PC and check the firmware is v5

Turn the mode switch to PS3 position before connecting to PC, read the instructions

Yes I can say my Thrustmaster T150 is updated to v5 and also my TH8A is at the latest software.

I think I might have figured it out, which I completely disagree with this decision on the developer side. They made it so it don't work on modern cars or most classic cars.

ONLY works for a few selected classic McLaren cars... for the realism experience an want you to paddle shift... which I disagree with this they should give the player the choice if a player wants to use thier TH8A to shift let them or they can still use the paddle shift on the wheel. I believe this is the issue with this game.

Well, if the game is trying to be authentic then I see why but yes, I agree you should be able to map a controller how you want. I use paddleshift all the time. I left foot brake too, but my pedalset is resprung specifically and I have to map the 'clutch' as my brake.
