F1 2014 PC: Track no longer rubbers in

Hi Codies,

After you guys fixed this long standing bug in a patch in F1 2013 it seems to back for me (at least). I tried multiple tracks full weekend, 25% race distance, no evidence of the racing line rubbering in at all in any session. 

I have a Sapphire ATI R2 290 graphics card and i5 processor. With this setup the track rubbers in fine in 2013. It was my favourite feature in '13 so it'll be sad if you can't fix it.

After they fixed it in 2013, the marbles then disappeared. So they fixed one thing and broke another, then gave up on the game.

Do marbles show up in '14?

There are on the PC. Park up at the hairpin in Canada for 20 laps or so and you will see them.

On 2013 the "rubbering-in" was broken but "marbles/clag" worked, then in a patch they fixed "rubbering-in" track and broke "marbles/clag".

That is in Career 100%. Not sure about other modes.

I would be exceedingly surprised if it was actually fixed now as no other bugs are fixed that I have seen.

No marbles and no rubbering in at all for me.

I assure you with 100% certainty that on my PC in a gp race that I  get the rubbering in and marbles (the former can be seen on any number of videos on YouTube)....but if you don't get those effects then....nothing I can really add.

Weirdly I got rubbering in today in Bahrain during my career, whereas I had nothing yesterday at Australia. It's very odd. I think it might be a track by track thing? In F1 2013 Monaco and Monza didn't rubber in for anyone. I don't understand it otherwise. It's pretty distinctive in Bahrain if more gradual than last year. It's actually a big improvement because of this, but it's really strange that I'm getting erratic results for it.

I think in the old forum people figured out where it was broken and where it worked, but of course CM deleted that forum and all the useful info that was in there. 

I won't be surprised if after a few months this forum is also mysteriously deleted with some excuse given such as "lease up" or something like that.



EDIT- As you can see in these vids- (replays), there are no marbles. That is F1 2013 100% career race.  Same thing as in race when playing- no marbles but track rubbers in.

It is also worth noting that in the replay the track is rubbered in instantly as if the race that just took place  already rubbered it in, even though this is a replay and it should have reset before the replay, but it doesn't, which is another bug actually.

There are marbles and the track does rubber in (PC 100% race GP). The pics below are taken from the Italian GP whilst parked up at the Curva Parabolica. The first pic is lap one, the second is lap 10.

I see no marbles.

Then you need to look harder as they are there and they build up gradually but I am done with trying to show this. If you don't get them, well,  that is a shame.

Well you picked a pretty terrible angle to show the marbles. I don't even have '14, I won't buy it for several reasons.   In 2013 career they are broken, I can guarantee  that. (real proof in vids above).

I have the same issue :(

It was working in 2013, and it was the first time it worked. 

Seriously, I don't get it.
