Will Codemaster keep their promises?

Recommended Posts

Hello, so my question is will codemaster actually keep their promise lets get started. After F1 2015 was annouced they promised "Daily updates" to ensure the game was up to date to the current car of 2015 but they NEVER did that, they only did 1 or 2 updates a month and in F1 2016 it was the same, now in F1 2017 they still haven't done anything they said, the game is broken and its buggy as all hell, now codemaster are you going to screw up F1 2018 or will you actually support the game until the end of the season?

As is common practice, they're very careful to rarely (if ever) explicitly promise anything concrete that they can be held specifically accountable/liable for.

I think a more relevant question is: if consumers continue buying future titles regardless of functional quality issues, does it matter what promises are made or kept?

I think you've answered your own question mate! To see into the future we must look to the past.My guess is things will be business as usual from codies, why would they change people still buy their junk.

Nothing will change. The same circle has started for 2018 like other years. A few weeks back jenny promised better communication. Like we haven't heard that one before. The only communication we had so far "Soon we have exiting new to announce". The same soon like other years.

Daily updates is the dumbest thing ever. That's way too much work, did they really promised that?

I remember Project CARS dev mentioning that even monthly was a bad idea for them, they just didn't have enough time to create the updates and test properly.

They're in a yearly dev cycle and don't have much time to mess with a game before they're on to the next one.

at least they were able to visually update the cars from the season launch versions.

There are so many people out there who buy these games without thinking. There are no in game purchases. Someone could play the game for 1000. Someone can play the game 5 hours. They still sell copies either way.

I dont think all of us is in the same box. My gameplay doesnt have near as many bugs thats seems to be affecting other players. Maybe im lucky or its just the game modes i play in or whatever. So me buying the game isnt supporting codemasters screwing me. Me buying 2018 is because I enjoy the gameplay in 2017.
