Should the Formula 1 drivers test the game?

Don't see how that would change things. Codemasters are adamant about their sim-arcade approach and letting Lewis or Max play the games won't magically transform them into timeless pieces of brilliant software engineering.

Sure, they could sent beta codes or free copies to the gamers who race in F1 (for example, Max / Esteban / Kevin / Stoffel / Lance / Lewis etc. apparently play videogames in their freetime and some of them also have mentioned Codies F1 series in some interviews), and or have them test the handling to give first hand experience or have them give some advice and ideas etc., but we neither don't necessarily know if they would appreciate this type of approach and or if they'd be up to taking the role of a coop partner to the development of Codies F1 games to begin with as the drivers obviously got a very tight schedule to follow.

All in all it'd be a awesome PR stunt indeed, but it probably wouldn't be feasible unless of course Codies are willing to pay more bucks into advertizing imho.

Anyways, at the end of the day it wouldn't make any difference after all, especially if Codemasters are possibly going to repeat the tragedy of 2017 and have not learned from their mistakes.

Only time will tell how F1 2018 and onwards is going to be handled this time
