Well Monaco Used To Be My Favorite Track...

Is it possible you guys have problems with controllers? Was the same with one of mine DS4's. I found out about it while playing Motogp 17 when rider wouldn't fully lean anymore, making him understeer in every corner. That same controller can't steer enough for that hairpin while the other one can, g29 too with no special settings.

@DayvJonez

Am using both the standard DS4 / XBone pad and a G29 / T300 wheel, but never had to change any settings such as saturation or linearity for the pad itself, only for the wheel i had to change up the settings a little bit to get a more realistic turn in and a much heavier force feedback.

With a pad the trick to get the "Loews Hairpin" right is to have:

-the correct speed around 46 hkm/h - 70 km/h depending on whether it's rainy or not going into the turn to not overshoot it or ram into the barrier,

-a correct car setup that promotes a slightly more "oversteery" feeling with good turn in to make the car respond much easier at the cost of having to rustle the car much more intensely,

-a correct approach to the turn from a wide angle to maximize the cars ability to generate grip and thus increasing the speed at which you can take the turn etc.

All in all it's simply a matter of practice and dedication.

PS: Keep in mind that with a wheel being consistently fast will get much much much easier, but depending on what type of wheel you are looking for it can cost around 80 - 1000+ bucks in Europe and or the US.

PPS: Wheel > Pad

Oversteery is the last thing you want at Monaco on a controller, especially in the swimming pool section. (Otherwise known as the bane of my existence.)

What i found very useful is putting the two inside wheels over the inside kerbs which spins the car around the corner. It does slide out a little bit on the exit but it is easy to control.
