it look amazingingly incredible specially in vr. you can really feel the power of the that car and grip. sounds are not that great could have made it sound better in downshift and engine braking but the engine tone is not bad on idle really sound nice and if you spin and try to recover when you rev that engine just awesome...
and the car look so real and realistic with colors and lighting really gorgeous.

Looks awesome! Hadn’t seen that video. Something you definitely can’t fault PD on with GT Sport is the quality of the replay videos, something about the smoothness and colours and lighting that just looks so good.
Do have high hopes for F1 2018 though knowing they’ve really upped the game in the visual department :)

Many things feel a bit off, especially the hand animations imo.

Just tested it on GT Sport. To me they threw away an opportunity. Handling is bad and the physics are clearly manipulated. Crazy speed and braking distances...and i didn't even name the auto drs...

Haven’t had chance to test it myself but yeh I can’t say I’m surprised if that’s the case. Guess with all the extra cars they’ve been adding in over the last however many months there will be compromises and certain cars that might look the part but not quite right in terms of sound and handling.
For me the Ferrari SF70H in Assetto Corsa is still the nicest feeling “modern” F1 car in a racing game.

GT have always worked hard on visuals but I can't stand the gameplay, the AI are so robotically plain. Online also have just as much issue as F1 does with suicide players. Though the car looks a muchness as F1 official bar the odd little added detail on the wheel etc. Thats not enough for any game to outdo F1 official gaming for me. But then I've never been the smash a car around a circuit solo type, if I were I understand taking an F1 car around a unique circuit not on the official lineup but its not enough for me.

I actually feel like they simplified the car too which is bad since the game is already simplified. But i can understand the choise if they had to make it to balance the game. It's really hard to put a real F1 car in a game full of fictional visions and concepts...

A lot of complaints about the car here. Glad I deleted that arcade game months ago now its only F1 2017 and Project Cars 2 for me. Offline of course...

oh dear, does sound like there’s quite a few issues with it. I only grabbed GT Sport on offer a few months ago but haven’t played it enough to get anywhere near the credits to get the W08 :/
I pre ordered Project Cars 2 on PS4 when it came out last year and was appalled at how buggy it was, but I’ve been playing it again recently with the wheel and seems really good now there’s been plenty of patches.
I don’t get why Lewis Hamilton doesn’t do more to help Codies with promoting the main series. I’ve heard Lee Mather praise Hamilton a lot and I’m surprised Hamilton would rather promote another game franchise than one that solely focuses on his main sport.

...unless it’s because he never forgave Codies for his awful character model in F1 2015 and ‘16 in those terrible cutscenes they’re still using :D

I feel the handling is still miles behind anything else I have seen tbh. There is quite alot of stuff off with that car, but at the end of the day it's probably the most realistic looking model of the car I've ever seen. Especially in that vr video the off-board shots in the top right are stunning you could fool someone into thinking that was the real thing at some points

onboard it looks not that good, but holy moly from outside it looks a lot better, the f1 game looks really bad if you compare that.
