Speed trap data - F1 2018

Recommended Posts

I'm not too sure how many people would want to compare speeds of all the car's through the speed trap during the free practice sessions on career mode, but would it not be possible just to add a column on the Timing screen which shows the speed of each car through the speed trap? The information on the Live TV screen just doesn't seem adequate enough in my opinion.
Possibly between the Tyre and Status columns? I feel as though there's a bit of wasted space there.

I agree. There is way to less data to analyze your own laps or compare with other drivers. This is a point i never understood because the data sho7ld already in the game. Formula 1 is a sport with ton of data during a race weekend, but we get nothing.

Everyone should want it which is why it not being in, AGAIN, is a shambles but nothing less than I'd expect from CM.

Definitely is useful when determing if downforce levels are appropriate...but since monoco I've suspected codies haven't added any sort of feature to make analyzing speed trap data easier even though the last 2 games everyone's been complaining about it is because the ai run the default setup 6-6 wings at every track...I came to this conclusion because I had a practice objective at Monoco to beat the average speed trap speed and could only do so once I reduced downforce to 6-6 no matter how good a run I got out of the corner before the tunnel and even tried a brand new engine for fp2 with a new practice gearbox...was only getting about 169 mph with 10-11 wings while a.i. were topping out around 181-183...yet my lap times were competitive and passed all practice programs with 10-11 wings...also noticed during quali practice program I'd lose a ton of time down all the straights and then make it all back in the corners.  Made the race tricky when they'd run away from me on the run up to casino and down to the cicane after the tunnel but then I'd practically be stopping thru lowes hairpin and it's all I could do to keep from rear ending someone thru the swimming pool section

Note:

The different a.i. levels just make them more or less aggressive and just overall speeds them up...instead of making them more "intelligent" i.e. better at setting up their car and taking better lines around the track etc...
