You don’t know what a windbag is? All modern cars have them abd are only used, in case of the vehicle being involved in an RTA / RTC.

It's funny you say that, because a lot of people I know get confused when I call things on my car other names.

Tyre - Rubber ring
Engine - Donkey
Gearbox - Richard
Seats - Car chairs
Seat belt - Strapboi
Pedals - Foot levers
Boot - Bonkey

Confusing!

I have never heard those parts of cars called those, but I like the names a lot, so I think I am going to and remember all / some of them.

I fear I am going to regret asking this, but why is your gearbox called Richard?

I wish there was a good reason but there isn't. It was a poor attempt at some banter. I don't actually call any of those things those names, I was taking the piss. Sorry.

But saying that, I will now always make the effort to call my gearbox, 'Richard'. ?
