(PS4) Engineer too low...again

Recommended Posts

This year the engineer voice is again too low, like last year, but now is more complicated to fix it, because there is no separated volume voice level, just the effects level, so if I want to hear him I have to lower ALL the effects and that messed with the rest of the sounds ingame. I tried to use the limited dynamic range option as my sound comes from my TV, as other games like uncharted 4 for example has a sound TV mode with limited dynamic range that they recomend for little LCD TV's speakers, but in F1 case, the result was worse. I think the game needs a TV sound output preset but for now, in the next patch, an increase of at least 2 db's would be very good. Besides this, I'm enjoing the game a lot!

Do you use a controller or wheel? I think you can have Jeff's voice come out of your controller.

On a side note - if you get a headset you can hear everything crystal clear. You can adjust the car sounds separately from Jeff's voice. I started driving with a headset and it helped improve my awareness of my own engine sounds and where other drivers are on track.

I have a controller, I have tried to use the controller speakers but I dont understand very well Jeff either. On my headset I dont have any problem, but my son likes to see me playing so I need to use the TV speakers. TV speakers are known to have problems to represent voices from movies and games, they are very bad, that's is the reason many games  have a TV sound mode with a low dynamic range. I'm planing to buy a good sound bar, I want to hear my Ferrari properly :)
