SpudNugget123 0 Posted August 31, 2018 Since I got ignored in another thread entirely, I'm starting a new thread. My game will not go above 15 fps, ever. Right now when I try to play it, it sits at around 6-7 fps IN THE MAIN MENU. My specs are not the problem, I'm running an AMD R9 380 series graphics card, and i5-4690 @ 3.5ghz CPU. I was able to run F1 2017 without any issues. I've got the most up to date drivers for everything, have verified the game files, turned all the graphics options to low or ultra low. I have no more ideas. Please codies, what on earth is going on? I love your games and I'd hate to have to stop buying them because of games being unplayable. cliffgamerz 0 Posted September 1, 2018 it looks like your GFX is not boosting its clock from power saver mode for this game, maybe codies will look into it soon. Can you run msi afterburner or evga precision to find out and report back here.

I ran F1 2018 and checked afterburner, it looks like you were right, no change in gpu clock or memory clock, despite there being a large change for f1 2017 when I run that. Any ideas on how to work around this for now?

Any ideas on how to work around this for now? Can you a different set of drivers (older ones) or even try removing the Display drivers completely through this https://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.htmlThe above mentioned method may be last resort but try to create a custom profile for the game using f1 2017 profile in AMD drivers (currently i cant help as i not using AMD card as i have Nvidia GTX 1050 TI). Probably someone here with AMD please help him.
steviejay69 1,103 Posted September 2, 2018 Should be no problems with AMD 18.8.1 or 18.8.2Probably try a BIOS reset, remove any OC, etcUse DDU in Safe, reboot without net and install either of the above. Custom install is OK but I don't install ReLiveYou shouldn't turn the settings down. Before launch, delete the hardware_settings_config.xml from C:\users\YOURUSER\Documents\My Games\F1 2018 (the game will create a new one)
SpudNugget123 0 Posted September 2, 2018 I'm already running 18.8.1, can't imagine that's the issue
