Race Strategy program problem.

Recommended Posts

It doesn't wanna gimme anything for it, started a new career (cause 25% races don't scale right) and now when I do the 5 laps of the race strategy (in FP3) I have got purple 3 times in a row but don't get resource points for it, it's like I never even did?

This is because the way resource points are dished out this year has been tweaked. The way the points are now allocated are as follows:
1st programme complete: 50
2st: 40
3rd: 30
4th: 20
5th: 10
The remaining one: 0
I agree it's annoying slaving away on the practice programmes only to get none for the final one in the set, That's what I've found anyway. If you're getting 0 in the 2nd/3rd/4th/5th tier then that's a bug.

That's just weird, to be honest if that's the case it's probably gonna be a better idea to sacrifice the last one to save the ICE, gearbox and other components due to the wear as the last one is 3 - 5 laps (and I have done 5 laps the first 3 GP's) so that 15 laps of wear I could have saved.

I think there are 6 programmes?
Track Acclimatisation, Tyre Management, Fuel Management, ERS Management, Qualifying Pace, Race Strategy
For purple results. you double the points I think plus the team objectives and R&D component points too, they do still stack up, but that is annoying that one programme will be worthless in terms of resource points, but still it gives a race strategy though. In FP3, you're using your actual gearbox for the other sessions and race, be wary of that, I usually just do the qualifying pace programme in FP3 then head to qualifying to save my ICE and Gearbox. I use the extra gearbox for use in FP1 and FP2 to run the rest of the programmes
