Xbox One - How to edit text (player name, team name, etc)

This may be a stupid question but I just can't figure out to edit text on Dirt 4 Xbox One.  I can get to the point where you are supposed to edit the text, such as TEAM NAME, and selecting A gets a cursor blinking to the right of the default text...but I can't figure out how to actually edit it.  I've pushed every button on my wheel and also tried a standard controller.  No keyboard comes up, nothing to edit the text...

What am I missing here??  I googled this thinking lots of people must have this problem since it's not intutive at all, but....nothing, nowhere online do I see anyone else with this issue.  Makes me feel pretty dumb even asking but I just can't figure it out.  Help, please.  Thanks.

Never mind.  It's working now...restarted the game 3 or 4 times and now the keyboard appears.
