i have a problem with turning on f1 2018

i have a problem with my new xbox one controller that when i push the left joystick left the car barely turns and i have to move the joystick to the point where the car will turn fully. this has never happened before and now it is happening

i am playing F1 2018 on pc as well. I don't know if its a problem with my controller or the game
