f1 2018. Screen tearing xbox one x

Recommended Posts

F1 2018 continues to have screen tearing in circulitos as spa and Monza, especially at the start of the grand prix when there are more cars on the screen in a certain curve. After the 1.07 update he has also appreciated screen tearing on the Singapore circuit. The screen tearing mostly appears by selecting sunrise or sunset and with the weather state slightly cloudy or overcast. Please, solve this problem, it is very annoying and we have been suffering since f1 2016.

stuart110 it happens on the PS4 pro too. So far I’ve only noticed tearing looking left and right using the cockpit or top cameras.

When are they going to fix the screen tearing? installed the patch 1.10 on my xbox one x and follow the same problems with the vsync. It is very annoying in the tracks that appear, such as Singapore (at the start of the race in the first corner when you run in the day or in the rain, and with many cars on the screen), and it seems that they are not willing to fix this error, it is very disappointing.

Installed update 1.12. The problem of screen tearing remains unresolved. It is disappointing that after waiting patch after patch this problem is never solved; and codemasters never say anything about it.

Could this screen tearing be related to the fact that the FPS drop below 60, and thus it automatically deactivate V-sync? If it is the reason, it is not something fixable unless to reduce the GPU load a bit to keep the FPS always at 60.

Of course that is the reason. But in a console with the potential of xbox one x, is due to lack of optimization, in addition the f1 is not that it is the most pointer graphically.

What Resolution does F1 run at on One X? Is there a 1080p high performance mode? I'd hoped if I did upgrade it might be a much better experience, guess its more CPU limited with Jaguar. Hurry up next gen.

Well for my part, having a perfectly smooth gameplay (capped FPS without any fluctuation) is nearly a must have for me to be able to like a game, sadly it is rarely the case for developpers. If their game goes under 60 fps in some occasions, they usually do not care much and it can't be considered a bug, as nowhere it says a game has to maintain 60 fps in all scenarios.

It is a problem that does not occur in all circuits, only in a few, such as Singapour or Spa, so I think it is a lack of optimization in these circuits. They should give a solution, it is very annoying when it occurs, but that much.

I reported this for F1 2017. They did make improvements but it persisted for Monza, Singapore, and Spa. I guess 2018 is no different.

The best I could determine, the tree design is too much for their game engine. Singapore struggles during the day... I think it is better at night.

Good of luck with them fixing this once and for all.
