Patch Notes for 1.09 – Discussion Thread

9 Patchs & still no mention of a force cockpit & proximinty arrows off feature for online,
if I wanted to race with people with zero awareness of anything else on the track, id go play Project noobs 2.

PS ive posted about issues, also needed features in all the correct places, however unless its a feature that gives the majority a advantage no one cares,
makes me wonder why everyone complains about online,
stick everyone of all skills levels - different views - different assits in one lobby simply DOESNT WORK.
No-one needs force cockpit. Dunno why everyone thinks that's the bee's for view, it's not. Plus, it allows you to cut the track IMHO. You probably think any other view is an assist.

Fine if you have triples or a massive screen, but that's not everyone's choice.

You can try an honour system for cockpit leagues.
Excalty the repsonce I expected from a league driver,

I think your getting confused, its T Cam that allows you to cut,

1, Unrealistic visibility you have,
2, Built in assit keeping the car more stable,

But until F1 series catch's up with other titles & adds basic features for online ( force cockpit ), multiplayer lobbys will allways be a representation of league driving.

I've only not posted anything because I've only had time to download the game tonight but no time to play. Did one 5 lap MP ranked, got crashed off in a nearly full lobby. The names weren't missing in the lobby screen.

How do you get 18 idiots in a lobby?
Ranked rooms are the worst drivers. I get better racing in the unranked rooms. Figure that one out.

Please sort out no names or info on hud screen for multiplayer . I'm racing around since the start with no player information on screen.  Online ranked ps4
Does appear to be fixed in 1.09 but not tested extensively. You should get 1.08 & 1.09 rolled together on console.

Please fix the resetting multiplayer stats :) We want to dive into them! Thanks...
For real, how long does it take ?

now 1.08 turns in 1.09 , how many days more Codemasters

but i have no hopes anymore, couple of patches now and close to zero improvement. ( online)

maybe @Faya could say when the reset planned to be, and the stats work constantly right.

so as long i could concentrate on career , cause online makes no sense anymore, its true and annoying .

f1 2017 i had a 50K kilometers online , didn't play career at all , the start of the game was sad too, but this year title is just doublesad.

Still no updates on tyre overheating issue for pad and keyboard users?
**** there is no issue, update your driving style
As it was already mentioned by the majority of pad players - driving style hasn't a deciding impact on that problem. Read corresponding topics first.

But it does, a minority of pad players constantly scrub their front tyres to achieve a pace that is temporary at best with the new tyre modelling, you can’t nail the tyres every lap for the whole race without consequences now, and their little confused minds can’t grasp the idea so they result to insults instead of just trying to adapt to the situation.

You haven't actually got a clue have you?

Pad players don't scrub the fronts, because understeer isnt modelled on the pad handling. You know what understeer is right? Pad players can't do it. Try it. Understeer isn't modelled in the game when using a pad. The steering becomes heavy, but you never get proper racing car understeer, as you can on Assetto Corsa. So your repetitive drivel about scrubbing fronts just isn't correct. It can't be.

Hook your pad up and play the game. Then your confused little mind might have a clue.

Please be civil. Do not let this thread descend into more arguments.

If there is someone on the forums that you cannot get along with, then I suggest you use the “Ignore” function that the forum has. If you go to their profile, you can choose Ignore from the drop down profile button at the top right hand side.

In regards to the tyre temps, the team is still discussing it and I am feeding back all of your comments to them.

On stats resetting, the team is looking at a fix for this, but I'm afraid I don't have a time frame at this point.

Can you elaborate on this Faya? Are the team looking in to the AI's tyre management, I suspect that might be the angle to go from.

Again, stop it with the arguments and the sniping at each other. Final warning.

In other news, the Xbox One 1.09 patch is due to go live at around 1pm UK time GMT+1). I’ll have further updates about the PS4 version soon. I've updated the main Patch Notes with this information.

Fair enough, but I’m not the one cooking my tyres in a few laps and blaming bugs for my own self inflated and subsequently bruised ego.

Since loyalty on the track in online contests can not really be 100% controlled, I would focus on career and championship modes. I have read in the previous discussions the real problem of tire slippage and the absence of consequences ... it is true, there is no real management of tires, blistering etc. to be considered, not to mention the effects visible on the tires, virtually non-existent . This involves the player's disinterest in really handling the tires and going to the lock whenever he wants. I would like to add to the menu the on / off option regarding manual driving both in the pits and in the insertion on the grid after the training lap, it is really annoying that it is all automatic.

See this is how crazy Tyre Temps has made Gotham....

Honestly though @Faya, as I've said from the very start -  if tyre temps/A.I difficulty for Monaco and Singapore is brought in line with other circuits as well as Austria A.I difficulty being made a bit harder you will see a big reduction in complaints from people.
