F1 2018 - FPS

Recommended Posts

F1 2018 have a stable performance in my PC, but the replays and cutscenes is down FPS... How I can block in 30 fps and keeping the gameplay in 60 fps?
Or any system that when the fps down below 60 fps, automatically blocks in 30 fps and not the game trying to show 60 fps and geting slower reproduction with 50 fps, 40 fps... Any ideia?

Windows 10
GTX 1060 6 GB
24 GB RAM 1600 MHz
Intel Core i5 4690

If you have v-sync activated just put the vertical synchronization interval on "1" instead of "auto" or "2". If you don't have v-sync I don't know.

@Faya, @jennyannem, synchronization interval, this don't work for me; The configs that I do in the control panel of NVidia don't make changes in the game. For example, if I enabled V-Sync by Nvidia Inspector or by the game works, but Nvidia control panel not!

Please, fix the replays in broadcast view!!! Are slowdown and I have tested in my graphics quality low too just to confirm that is the game bad optimized...
I could have a option in the menu that in cutscenes and replays would be easy block in 30 fps and keeping the game in 60 fps!

Win10 PC too playing 2017 though .. in setting, graphics, video mode, you dont have the ability to manually set the refresh rate? I do in the game itself... I havent checked for replays though which is your problem here. perhaps that setting does not apply for replays, which wouldnt surprise me.
.

[ off topic dont you love the way on this site that when you are in a thread and log in, after successfully logged in, it doesnt take you back to the thread again? - Master of Codes, thank you . A refresh of the original discussion thread list page that was previously opened does however show the logged in status ]

In the game I just can set 60Hz or auto framerate but this don't makes difference, nothing

Also the Steam overlay for fps in game no longer shows for me, despite being set in Steam settings.
With my PC crashing a lot these days the game does not handle this very well, it resets those graphics settings every time now when I restart Windows after a PC crash  and shows a windowed version of game at full resolution and 30fps. When I change to full screen in this mode, it does nothing. I now have to set a windowed mode, accept it, and then change to full screen then change the resolution and fps. sometimes clicking on the game icon at the bottom forces it back into proper full screen. not very graceful behaviour IMO. I think codies have it so that the game decides the graphics settings and ignores the users instructions. though why it is 60 in your game and 30 in replays eludes me, but does not surprise me.

To the OP.Your GTX1060 should be about as good or a bit better than my GTX970 4Gb and you have 50% more RAM at the same speed as mine. The weak link in your system seems to be your CPU being a 4 core @3.5Ghz.My CPU is an AMD FX8320e 8 cores @4.5Ghz.While racing and in replays I get a good 70-80 FPS and 45 to 60 FPS in cut scenes which I usually skip anyway. My graphics settings @1440p on ultra with shadows turned down 1 click and V Sync off.Try lowering your graphics settings starting with shadows until the FPS is acceptable. The only other solution is to upgrade your CPU.

I have the same cpu as him, and even worse I have a gtx 960 2gb and the game is running at high/ultra with 0 issue. The cpu is not the problem, for most games (except battlefield games) the cpu is not important. Btw an i5 4690 is more powerful than an fx 8320 lol.

I enabled Vertical Sync by Nvidia Control Panel bwcause I defined F1 game as priority for configs and not global settings... Now I can use Adaptive V-Sync, it's better to play... Codemasters yet need fix the replays and cutscenes!

Well then, the fact that neither of us is having issues is proof positive that the game itself is not the problem either. This means that either there is something wrong with his hardware, perhaps something is overheating causing throttling or he needs a fresh install of windows. He should download hwmonitor to see how high his temps are.If temps are good then a dirty windows install is the issue.
