DiRT Rally 2.0 - VR support

Recommended Posts

 Dear codemasters nut huggers.........The orginal Dirt Rally (truly fantastic work by a small team). The problem is when Dirt Rally became a succes larger teams became involved in Dirt Rally 2.0 (the kind of teams who brought us Dirt 4) .  We have bin begging and pleading for so long but all we get back is the same generic souless answer after many months of petitions, emails, a variety of different forum posts. We are frustrated by the fact that Codemasters wont give us acknowledgement that they infact see us trying to rally vr support for these titles etc, yes we are becoming bitter and toxic now... After what feels like years of  hoping & trying for the best. Hypocritical folks like yourselves come to vr related threads just throw salt on the wound...your satisfaction is all that matters i guess. You White knights come hear to hug Codemasters ball sack...  If the tables were reversed and this was just a vr title you guys would be a bit toxic as well i imagine. So if your going to bring up entitled take a closer look in the mirror... you are no better than us.
What a truly fantastic attitude you display their.

Showing perfectly how petulent and childish the vocal minority of the VR userbase is.
That's somewhat unfair on the coherent, patient and reasonable VR users around (several of whom have posted in this thread). All this shows is how rude, petulant and childish this particular user @FrankZappa is.
Hey Davise at least I backed it up with my opinion on the situation. I throw in sarcasm for spice on the side especially if it's just comes down to insults with no logical points added..why would I even attempt to have a  logical conversation with you or cameraboy.

The major source of my frustration has bin the lack of clarity from codemasters to the vr folks trying to support them.     BUT there is some good news Codemasters is seeking someone to handle there social media.  It's great to see them stepping up with what I think is a major part of the problem. If you don't like my opionion thats okay. if you "just" want to throw insults your going to get a face full of stfup. ?

@FrankZappa
I've made my points earlier in the thread; personally I can't afford, or choose not to prioritise, a VR setup but I really hope it's added to the game as I agree it's an important part of anything pertaining to be a sim these days.

However, I believe the reason you can't get an answer is that there is no answer to give. No doubt Codemasters have heard the outcry, and they will be discussing it internally and, I suspect, with the hardware manufacturers to get their support. But if they don't have confirmation yet and they haven't ruled it out, then what are they supposed to say? It's not a decision likely to be taken instantly and they can't say they'll do it or they'd have no leverage in discussion with the headset manufacturers.

And many people have made their points, their pleas passioned but reasonable, requesting rather than demanding. Your post above starts "Dear codemasters nut huggers" which is not an example of this, marking your post as aggressive, homophobic and grammatically incorrect in just four words. There's no "sarcasm" or "spice", it's deliberately attempting aggression.

I hope you get your way with VR because I'm sure a lot of people are patiently waiting for it. But I don't appreciate the attitude on a usually well mannered forum.

Lol there is no need to be a completely politically correct snowflake, it's muffin talk like that....pfff.  You  and your boyfriends will need to do better...should I be impressed by your chumpion Brownie badges. Also attacking ones grammer is kinda weak and usually points out your losing an argument. Your passive aggressive bs is entertaining though. Besides I was responding to tbtstd & Cameraboys comments BUT you conveniently did not notice that! So don't play coy with me sunshine ?

 As far as a response from codemasters you make some valid GOOD points actually! I still think it could have bin handled better  ...again I would suspect that's why in part they are looking for someone to handle social media. I am a bit over waiting for Dirt Rally 2.0 vr at this point...we have fantastic Rally vr sims like RBR vr / RSRBR / mods etc. We also have Dirt Rally VR still ( group a is fantastic ). Heck I have a Rally Raid AT 1000cc monster, still needs a high fender kit but the suspension has all bin rebuilt and upgraded etc. I might get sick if say how much I put into this bike. I'm not a world class Rally specialist that's for sure. I have put 45,000k on since 2017 exploring some of the most remote beautiful dirt roads you can imagine, I am a bit obsessed with Dirt.
for the record I even respect Rallycarmeraboy,, he actually drove a bit of Rally himself and is passionate about it. I also respect you but I could care less about your judgements towards me. i don't know u guys, you seem okay but perhaps a little uptight.
It's just a forum and thread on vr support....some of us are are just a bit pissed off. If some people don't like it !...well to bad. I love rally I am passionate about it and I don't want this one in the turd bin with dirt 4.

Nothing beats vr especially when it comes to Rally...every bump, hill, twist...all the physics just make sense.

 I should clarify Codemasters has some fantastic people, designers, coders, programmers etc etc, it's the buissness side of the large triple a developers these days that make it difficult on the consumer and the creative teams involved especially.  NoVrNoBuy is actually a good thing, we should also stop pre ordering games It's just making it worse on everyone. People should get a full game if charged full price. Pre orders just give triple a titles the control..they can release a half finished broken game because they have your money.
