DLC Rally Cars for DiRT Rally 2.0

Recommended Posts

I'd very much like to see the other version of Subaru (WRC 2000) getting added as well in case Xsara was out of the question. The Toyota Corolla's absence and Toyota's intransigence to license is still bothering.

There are multiple Pug in D4, so logically the 206 would be possible. In D4 the C4 WRC not was available anymore, so I dont know if the Xsara will be possible. Maybe the Hyundai Accent and Seat Cordoba are easier to license, also because the Ibiza F2 and I20 R5 were in D4.

I've got my suspicions that the '2000s' class (cars built to "WRC" rules) will be absent from DR2.0. In a game styled after CMR2.0, if they had a 2001 Focus in game I would have expected to see it by now (possibly on the Steelbook cover). We'll find out soon enough.

Not the end of the world for me personally, but I understand it will upset some people if that is the case.

I would have hoped havi g Solberg tied into the game so much in the pre launch hype that we'd have all of his competition cars. But the wrc licence thing might be a drawback

I think that there should be wrc from 2000 to 2008 and from 2010 to 2019 as the dirt rally first of the name and there will be more people happy, and for the historic car there are many that we already know, said me who agrees with my idea ??

Why did you leave out the 2009 cars?

None of the above. Would love to see Group 4 Triumph TR8,  Talbot Sunbeam Lotus and DTV Chevette HSR. Proper cars from the golden years of Rallying.

We need a proper modern spec mk2 escort maybe something similar to the spec of David Bogies wild new tarmac mk2. The current Phill Collins one in the game is just too underpowered and doesnt feel even half as fast in the game as it does in real life. (My brother has a real similar spec tarmac car so I do know...)

Bogies car specs..

Extensive use of composites to bring the weight down to the 700kg region
Wrc spec front end suspension & dampers.
Prototype 2.5 Millington engine with a fly-by-wire throttle that revs to 9,500rpm, Aprox 360-380bhp .
6 speed Tractive sequential gearbox.
etc, etc..

It is the iconic rally car of the century can we have a really nice one for this game Codies... please?

:D

I'm sure DLC has already been planned and the chosen cars are in development, but I wouldn't mind having another go with this one in the future

Never say never. Might have been spotted today. Or at least the one from Dirt 4.
My vote lies with the 206, loved it in old CMR games and RBR as well. But I would also like to see the 307cc. Was in the first Dirt and is such a different machine would be awesome to see it again .

C'mon guys!!! This game will be also a part of Colin McRae Rally history! We need a Subaru Impreza WRC (1997/1998) It's a great legend and also with the one which we know very well and scored points for manufacturers standings in 97. It's very good looking and important car as well for this game and a lot for Colin McRae fans!

  • Tomaso Pantera
  • Fiat Ritmo 130 TC

I wouldn't mind the 307 but only if we get the Marcus Gronholm soundtrack.  :D

Haha, you forgot the video where he has a broken gearbox that locked in 3rd gear and at the end of the stage he wins it and says in the interview "You can tell Corrado 3 is enough."

If the 206 makes it into a hypothetical 2000 class then I will offer all of my limbs, and organs for future harvest to any codemasters staff.

Well he didnt win the stage but he finished 5th with only 3 gears. Here's the shot :D begin 25:12

That Peugeot was a disaster from the begining to the end, even killing Michael Park and sealing its fate. Not even the Mitsubishi was such a trash.

The 307 was decent in 2006 though. Drove Manfred Stohl to 4th
That was so weird to see. The works cars had a billion issues throughout 04 and 05 and then in the hands of this small privateer team it was arguably the most reliable thing on the entry list.

The 307 drove Marcus Grönholm in 2005 to 3rd, even a few wins in 2004 and 2005, plus many Podium places during that time. For a proof, look here:  https://www.ewrc-results.com/profile/4-marcus-gronholm/

Just watch the quick 2004 recaps and you'll see how many wins Marcus was in for, but ended up getting to 6th or 7th due to car problems. That car was a mess. Gronholm could've won the 2004 and 2005 seasons easily if the 307 had similar reliability of the 206. And it was always the same problems: either power steering or gearbox. These 2 problems appeared in all their cars, not just Gronholm's. Rovanpera had them as well.

Then the security flaw near the doors that vitimized Michael Park in Markko Martin's accident was the nail in the coffin. The 307 managed to ruin Marcus Gronholm's eventual titles, managed to kill Michael Park and managed to end with Markko Martin's will to rally. Even Corrado Provera left the team in 2004 because he saw the 307 was a disgrace and they couldn't win or overcome its manufacturing problems. It took the manufacturers 2 years to fix those problems and even in 2006 they had issues.
That car will be forever tainted with Markko Martin's accident, just like the Lancia S4 will be tainted for Toivonen's death.

It was also Peugeot's decline in car sales, as cars beyond that were low quality and all of them had those glitchy gearboxes.

The truth is, the 307cc was a mechanical engineering genius (thanks to Michel Nandan) by getting more torque and less gears, therefore having more torque per each gear and less time wasted on changing gears. It had the best acceleration, even more than the Xsara and the best handling. But thanks to its crappy gearbox and power steering issues, it quickly lost its shine. The fact it was larger than the 206 didn't really matter much, because when they compared the runs with the Virtual Spectator, the 307 was going faster than the 206 and the car was an improvement over it.

Speaking of gear changes. In theory Marcus should change gears less with 4-speed and more tourqe, but they compared Marcus to Loeb during a stage and Grönholm had significantly more gear changes than Loeb! I would assume that Grönholm pretty much never felt like he was in the correct gear.

I'm guessing the Citroen Saxo is the 1996-2003 one pretty good little cars I remember Richard Hammond using one in Top Gear. There are a lot of cars that are great that would be amazing in the Dirt series it is hard to give a straight up vote.

Si añaden los mismos autos con las decoraciones originales de colinMcRae 2.0 sería perfecto
