Bump on zuzuka

Recommended Posts

Why is it a bump on the last turn of Zuzuka Japan. If u go full throttle and drive over it you will end up loosing grip on rear tire and crash? Almost every second lap i will loose grip. Im sure its not a hidden trap on the real track.

That bump seems exaggerated to me too, the car almost jumps, in real life it's everybody is flatout there no matter the fuel load.

Yah I had the same problem the other day...I was trying to get around it by holding wheel straight over the bump and turning as soon as you hit the ground again

I'm not sure about that but I think if you draw on the outside where the pothole is, which is what the F1 drivers do, the car will not be affected. If they do that and the vehicle is destabilized the game will have a failure, another one.

verry anoying when you are doing time trial with green delta and crash beacuse of the bump. Also it makes getting good starting phase almost the hardest part of the track.

Just finished my 50% career race. Only way I could stop a crash was to come off throttle over bump. Don't think ai did the same as they would pull away but I could close it back up in turn 3 and 4. Not sure if I was running higher down force

Took a while to get used to, but higher gear usually got me through, my issue was spinning off at 4 but the changes I made there helped final turn also. What are people using for diff settings?

I'm all for using setup as a means of adapting the car to the conditions of the circuit, but this is not something that setup can really help with. The track is just fundamentally inaccurate.

I've posted already about this issue here, and it seems pretty clear that the vast majority of people are in agreement that the track mesh needs to be smoothed out, as the real Suzuka simply isn't anywhere near as bumpy as the Codemasters version.

I doubt anything will change, (heck, it took them like 7 years just to add the yellow anti-cut strips to the Harbour Chicane in Monaco) but it would be amazing if Codemasters could fix this.

I'm pretty sure that bump has been in every F1 codemasters I've played. Which has been 5 of them. '11, '12, '16, '17, & '18. So I'm pretty sure it has be to be there in real life. Otherwise they would have taken it out at some point. So unless you know a real racing driver that has driven track that can say it's in accurate. We'll need to show codemasters a little faith and accept that it should be there.

Wings 6/9
Brakes 54/54 (I like softer brakes with no assists, also helps limit flashfrying surface temps)
Suspension 3/5, 5/7, 3/5
Diff 69/74
Ballast 8
Camber/Toe Meta (min on both I think it is)

That exit is flat now, once you're out of 17, stay left for 18 bump is much worse on pit entrance side.

I just copy the world record setup, no reason to go tryhard on the custom setup. It is quite little downforce in that setup, I think. But I agree, if you get the shicane right and bring alot of speed, you are more likely to not hit the bump or atleast drive over it without noticing it. Im quide sure the bump is on the ideal racing line
