Funny stuff on 2018/PS4 today !  I went into multiplayer/ranked, I missed the qualifying session ( I just spectate there) and then when the race started, I was in the cockpit of my car, for the entire race, watching "me" driving, I had no control . I waited the whole  5 laps race there, watching "me" driving and funny stuff, after the race, I received all race bonuses ! :)

Looks like it's the new bug, came with last night game update?

It seems there’s a decent amount of momentum generating here for codemasters to lose the licence, I say we capitalise on this. We have a mobile game that you can drive around in sometimes well but mostly glitchy. Screw this, they’ve had £50 every year since 2011 from me alone. I deserve better. So do you all. Let’s get this licence away from them. It will take a while but every journey begins with a small step. ANYONE WITH THE TIME/KNOWLEDGE of how how to get a petition started to FOM please do this. They have had enough chances. Hopefully this is the beginning of the end of codemasters. There may be decent individuals there but as a whole. God your terrible. Every department. Ai sucks,, no immersion, can’t do a race without glitches, skin and bones gameplay outside of races, poor interactions with paying customers. 

imagine the head of codemasters sitting with Ross brawn and Ross has his smartphone open with the list of issues and complaints about an almost exact same game. Do you think the CM head would have an easy time? Some things can be explained to budget. I’d suggest that’s much less than 50% of the problems codemasters create though. Again I refer to cd projekt red and the Witcher 3 and how they conducted their business with fans regarding issues on release and the game they built on a minimul budget. Compared to the likes of Bethesda with fallout 4. It’s a good debate which is the better game of those 2 and look at the size of each company. Hi all, 

My note about being civil was because there were personal attacks on a member of staff being made. This is against the forum rules and personal attacks against staff and fellow forum members will not be tolerated. Saying that, it does not mean that you can’t tell me how you’re feeling. If you are angry or upset about something I do want you to tell me. What you tell me here goes back to the team, as does the feedback that Jenny gets over Facebook and Twitter.

For the tyre temps and AI sector times, I believe there is something in test at the moment for both of these. If they pass testing, we will look at getting them in the next available patch. Note, next available patch may not mean the next patch that goes out.

There are a few more items I’m chasing up and for some of these I may need more information on what you’re seeing so I know I’m chasing the right issue. I’ll be going to the individual threads for these.

If there is something that you want me to check out, please do tag me in the relevant thread, but also please be patient as I have a number of items I’m still mid-poke on.

And for anyone wondering, my pronouns are she/her.

Do you really think FOM cares about you are not satisfied with a game? All they care about is money. They get it from sponsors, millions of fans all over the world and they get it from CM for the license. They don't care about the game, if it's really good or not or if you are satisfied, as long as they earn money.

And again, you don't own the game. All you do is to buy a license to play their (CM) game. You don't have any rights. All you can do is don't buy it again if you are not satisfied.

My first practice session in career mode since patch 1.12 on the PS4, and what a mess the game has become, glitchy, more bugs than before. Look at the times here, and tyre compounds used in a dry session!!! The times should be 1:42 for P1, and slower.....But A 1:14 from Ocon???? At Spa???? On inters in a dry session???? A total mess!! The game was fine when it was released, apart from a few things that needed fixing, but CluelessMasters have screwed it up completely! Look at this screenshot of the results of my session:

Why does this happen year after year? Yes, you can say CM don't care, they only want the money etc, but isn't that a bit wrong? We all pay our hard earned cash to buy this game, but as time passes, and with each update, it gets worse and worse. The fact that it's released each year half finished, with things missing, says a lot!

I first complained about CM's dubious business method back in 2014, when that year's F1 game came out, with lag online, career mode removed, advantage for pad users, bugs, generic steering wheels on all the cars, no SC, and many other problems. But as soon as I did, the Codies fanboys jumped on me, and eventually got me banned for complaining about F1 2014 (Although I wasn't complaining, just pointing out the games problems, as If you don't mention what's wrong, it doesn't get fixed, sounds familiar still that does lol!). But 4 years later, we're in the same situation, with a buggy, half finished game, that gets more and more broken with each update, no feedback from the "clever" people at CM, and just ignored at the end of the day!

Why do CM still have the contract to "create" this game? Why not give it to someone else FOM? It's time for a change in my opinion! We should all boycott next year's game, as it'll just be the same as this year's, and all previous year's games....CM bite of some much more than they can chew.....With no teeth!

CM Profits I meant.

I didn't buy 2014 because it was a paint job, I didnt buy 2015 because the reviews were awful.

I was gonna hold back buying 2018 version because of potential bugs plus I was happy with 2017, but excitement got the better of me and I bought 2 days after release.

So I can contain myself from buying every yearly release, but it's a shame if it comes to that again because of silly bugs

That's right. Normally to have two times the same bug is a bit stupid, but to have every year again... No words.

Maybe CM should make one or two years a DLC only for some driver adjustments and shall take a longer time to concentrate about a complete new game.

But this will also not work, because two days after release the forum will be full of comments about wrong mirrors or missing stripes.

As kids we never wanted out of date football kits and with F1 games we never want different/old liveries or driver names or old lineups - but you always get over this if the gameplay is superb and 99% working.

Bugs are annoying and there is never anyway round this. If they are fixed then we will all be happy come the next release or whether it is just a DLC

EDIT: F1 97 kept me entertained for 3 years! F1 2006/F1 Championship edition kept me going for 3 years! Grand Prix World has kept people going for 20 years!

The session was set for 5lap race, as I only wanted to do some practise, but the lifespan of a tyre doesnt change depending on race distance,
the tyre pyhics have changed cause they no longer overheat, also something has happened to the brakes cause I was trying to lock up to get some heat into the tyres & wear them out yet little to no lockups,
ive deleted patch 12 gone back to patch 10.

have anything much wrong with 1.12 patch, my tyres have 3 times more duration than 1.10, i´m faster 1.5 seconds than in 1.10, even increasing difficulty in 10% i´m faster in straight than any car by AI, even with a worst car

I would like to say that you're wrong. Since bernie ecclestone left FOM is doing a lot to and for the fans. B.E. Cared only about money, but the way the new owners are trying to make the sport more accessible and understandable for fans with things like all the extra information, the things they are trying for new regulations, to do more for fans in general is pretty impressive. I'm following F1 for almost 20 years and I truly believe that when liberty media and especially someone like Ross Brawn and Chase Carey who care for the brand F1 and the fans will see how CM makes a joke of them and us by handling everything the way they do, and giving the brand a bad reputation because the game doesn't live up to what it's supposed to be and what's beeing promised, they will take action

A chain is as strong as it's weakest link, and one of the weakest links are CM and how they react (or better blatantly ignore) to the fans, commercial people like Chase Carey will do anything to prevent the brand beeing brought down because they gave the license to a studio who doesn't care, listen or communicate with the fans

Slightly off topic but Liberty Media getting Ross Brawn involved was a genius move. Red Bull will initially hate the aero changes but this will balance out when Merc and Ferrari hate the engine changes

A chain is as strong as it's weakest link, and one of the weakest links are CM and how they react (or better blatantly ignore) to the fans, commercial people like Chase Carey will do anything to prevent the brand beeing brought down because they gave the license to a studio who doesn't care, listen or communicate with the fans

I don’t think so, but maybe you are right and if they would put some pressure into it maybe we would see more changes. 
That‘s a lot of maybe and if. Let’s talk about again in 2020.  ;)

Well to see if they fix the strict penalties, after patch 1.12 the pilots skip the curves as many times as they want without being penalized online. It is shameful to endure this.

Nah , I think they went too much the other way.

I literally within 1 x 25 %  Clean race jumped from 27 % "A" Rated to 100 % "A" Rated.

Then did the 3 x clean races required (sort of a licence review thing)

Then S rating and 26 % again.

Another Clean 25 % Race and Voila ! , I`m now a 100 % "S" Rated Driver ......

That went like a rocket from 27 % A Rated to 100 % S Rated.

and for the people who seem to think FOM. Don’t care about this sort of thing,.....that was the accepted opinion whilst Bernie and CVC ran things, now with the much more ‘fan orientated’ liberty media combo. They are looking at EVERYTHING and are totally willing to consider a small loss in profits if something is much more appealing to fans as that will generate much steadier long term income. They aren’t in it for a short buck like CVC were.

 Whilst gaming has never ever been mentioned specifically. Watch any race from
last year or this year and you will see adverts for the f1 esports. Quite a lot of them. Considering f1 is the 3rd? Most watched sport in the world then ad space isn’t exactly cheap yet there’s a lot of space for the esports? They won’t be making any income from that. So gaming is much higher priority than many would think. Ofcourse it’s not exactly a massive priority but ross brawn is a man known for his attention to detail and not a man that suffers p*ss takers I would imagine, we have been dealing with that since 2011. 


faya before you moan....... think of how much money you’ve had from every individual that writes on this site over the years. How many times have you released a game only still to be having to patch out issues 3/4 months after release? Why is that not addressed? That is pure scumbag behaviour do you not think? Then having the audacity to focus energies on dirt, gravel and micro machines instead of
focusing our cash on paying people to fix it and improve the game we payed for! Anyone is allowed a mistake but 2011 till now is not a mistake thats a massive p”stake and
you know it. I can’t think of any f1 game that hasn’t had multiple issues upon release and then months later has actually fixed most of these issues. I wonder if any other yearly games suffer like this? How hard is it to make
rhe same game year after year? Must be shockingly tough given how you handle
it. And then charge us top dollar. 

It’s ironic actually. The focus on Eports might actually catch the eye of Ross brawn or chase carey a lot quicker than would have previously and that can only be a good thing.
. Believe me as soon as they see your shady business practices and how you treat the fans (their fans) your contract will be ripped up, especially if there is already a petition :-) so keep the focus up on esports!! You will fail there too it’s guatanteed and if you don’t then that just raises more tough questions you can’t answer!

I would say that this is not normal but with the passage of the days little by little I am getting used to hahahahahaha. This happens in 90% of the rooms with PS4 rating. I have to close the application about 30 times a day.
