[Graphics] Strange lighting issue with Baku

Question

Guest
Running my career mode, everything was going great until I got to Baku where I ran into one of the stranger graphics bugs I've ever seen. I'll include some screenshots to show exactly what it is I'm seeing.

A few notes, this bug appears to be unique to Baku and hasn't happened at any other track. I was able to reproduce it at Baku in Time Trial mode using different cars. I'm using a 6GB GeForce GTX 1060 at 2560x1440. First thing I tried was updating my graphics drivers, did not resolve the issue. Even tried rolling back to an older driver, that also didn't fix the situation. Here are the screenshots that display the issue I'm having.

As you can see, parts of the car are being lit up green

This also happens to the skybox depending on where you are at on the track.

And this shows the real deal breaker, and why I believe it's a lighting issue and not a texture issue.

Hi @Qres and thanks for posting,

I’ve sent this to the team for further investigation. Could you send me you DXDiag and hardware settings, please? There is information in this thread here on how to send us the information. Thanks!

[Edit:] Could you also try verifying your game to see if that helps? Many thanks!

Validating F1 2018 downloaded correctly

  1. Open Steam and go to the Library tab.
  2. Right click on F1 2018 and select Properties.
  3. Go to the Local Files tab and click verify integrity of game files.

Verifying the game files has resolved the issue (which doesn't make sense to me, because I just installed the game... but hey I'll take it). Do you still want the DxDiag and hardware info?

Hey @Qres, thanks for letting me know that worked! At this point, I don't think I'll need the DXDiag and hardware info, but if it happens again, please let me know. Many thanks!
