Which rally are you most looking foward to?

Recommended Posts

So we already have our base list of rallies, containing:

- [GRAVEL] New Zealand
- [GRAVEL] Argentina (new)
- [MIX GRA&TAR] Spain
- [GRAVEL] Australia
- [GRAVEL] USA
- [GRAVEL] Poland (new)

So we're getting four comebacks and two new countries, with a special focus to gravel rallies. It's expected that we get some other rallies on upcoming seasons, since CM needs to add only four new WorldRX tracks to fill the calendar. Since the two first seasons are already confirmed to bring 6 locations total, 2 of these will most likely be rally locations at least.

One of those may be a snow rally, like Sweden or Norway, and the other should be an all-tarmac rally, like France or Italy. What are your guesses? I'll be adding only possible fresh candidates to this pool as I believe we could focus more on some all new rallies to the series.

Spain will not be mixed, it'll be tarmac only and we also have no idea if USA will be gravel or snow

Wow, didn't know USA rally had snow. This would be interesting.

Of those on the list, I'd go for Turkey. Argentina can be rough, but Turkey and Greece are the real car eaters that I'd love to have in game.

They did? Where?
They confirmed which ones are loose surface, so that confirms which ones are not:
Argentina’s, New Zealand, Poland and Australia are what we’ve got for loose surfaces. It was making sure they felt spot on, because the difference you feel between a surface in Poland which is incredibly fine, against Argentina which is incredibly heavy, we wanted to make sure that players were able to feel the differences between those two as well. So yeah, that combines very nicely.

Personally, I hope we don't see any of those in the poll; I can easily think of ten I'd rather see, including the ones from the original DR, before any of the above.

Still, to answer the original question, I'm mostly looking forward to Argentina and Australia. Normally, I'd say the tarmac event, as I'm a big fan of rallies on asphalt, but Spain is probably the least interesting tarmac round to me (although hopefully they find a narrow enough stage).

Non of the above, if  Wales is not included as in DR1 then I won't buy it.
I would like to see more UK stages included such as Kielder and Grizdale forests.

@JoeBlob21 I loved Janner-rallye when that was on, there's onboard of a stage Robert Kubica ran a few years back which is very edge-of-seat stuff.

After watching this morning's coverage though, I can definitely say that a wet and muddy Australia has jumped to the top of my 'looking forward to' list!

We had muddy Australia stages on Colin McRae Rally 2.0. Those, to me, were by far the best I've ever saw on any of the franchise's game, even nowadays, 16 years after I first played this game.

My personal favorites are still the Indonesia stages from CMR1.
Sandy beaches, rice fields & villages, rain & mud paired with a tropical thunderstorm, that section throuh a muddy swamp...
Those were the days

This brings me back some good memories. Driving the Quattro on sand is perhaps the hardest thing I've ever done in a rally game lol

Would like to see an Irish rally event best tarmac stages around and fast tight country lanes in the wet with mud being dragged onto the road would make it really tricky

Yea Ireland's pretty high on my list. I'd say if USA is snow then logic tells me that season 1 DLC will be a tarmac rally as the calender is very gravel focussed but if USA isn't snow then season 1 will most likely fill that gap.
