why do i hit an enemy and he ends up hitting me instead?

ill be slamming into fodder left and right and then ill slam ito all the enemys i see and the damage and kill me when i hit them? it doesnt make sense...

You have to hit opponents with pretty much the front of your car in their sides. 
If they are hitting you instead it's because you are too far in front of them, and their front is hitting you instead. It's not like burnout where you can sideswipe them while being slightly ahead of them. Trust me, it drives me bonkers as well and seems poorly designed.

it doesnt matter if u use the front of your car or not the mechs. are so buggy regardless whether or not ppl r hacking or not u can get forced into a wall and die just by somebody sliding into u
