What are the most real and immersive play settings?

For an immersive and real experience, I use:
Assists and on screen display
:  Elite assists (no racing line, no tc, no abs), and no on-screen displays

Camera mode: Default cockpit with 100% camera shake, 6 degrees look to apex, halo on.

Wheel settings:   I'm not sure what real wheel settings should be or how to get the most feel out of my wheel.  For my Logitech G29 wheel, I'm using:

Vibration and feedback strength: 100
On track effects: 33
Rumble strip effects: 25
Off track effects: 15
Wheel Damper: 31
-I keep changing these settings and could use some help here.
-The only calibration changes from default are 71 steering saturation. Good idea to use saturation, or no?

Any feedback is appreciated. Thank you.

Got to have the halo on, part of F1 now ;)
Can't talk on anything bar zero assists and zero display like you stated already. I assume the vibration/feedback are factory set to as close to realism as possible already?

Okok! You convinced me, halo is on!  It's not so bad, I can get used to it. And I'm glad you told me to try default force feedback.  I've gotten used to it and like those settings best.  It has a nice feel, although a bit clunky with the G29 wheel.

Have you tried no on-screen displays? I'm guessing many people never try it. Turning them off makes me feel funny inside, like riding a motor cycle for the first time, if you know what I mean :P

I love this game. Wish other people played with the settings I use. It's much more exhilarating without all the overlays and assists. Sort of like playing a survival game without all the overlays and assists. You feel much more alone and a little scared. Now I need to find other people wanting to race multiplayer without assists!

If you want to play with realistic settings, start a new career and ENABLE PRO CAREER before the season begins

Yes I have tried no display, and yes it feels odd lol! I have raced for real but never anything like F1 so the only experiences I have are of watching it on TV.
I have 2 modes;
~ Sometimes I feel super competitive so I will break out the wheel and pedals and go simulation.
~ But the rest of the time I am a Tcam broadcast style viewing racer, I love the balance between racing and viewing and so everything display wise is on and the Tcam shows everything while still not being too far from the car I am racing.
One of the best things about F1 is this ability to please all (bugs and glitches aside) ;) And all these options just make that magic happen. This is why I buy F1 more frequently than any other racing game out there. And I have bought every Codies F1 game since 2009, I haven't missed one year except that 80s(?) one someone brought up on here a while back.

I'd actually say take the halo pillar off.  On a flat screen your eyes cannot look past it as you would in real life.  On  a flat screen you're left with the pillar obstructing a significant part of your vision, and a real driver wouldn't have that obstruction (binocular vision would let you see left and right of the pillar at the same time which essentially lets you see past it).

Yeah that's how I ended up also. I don't mind the halo at all, but the central support was causing a blind spot in certain places (usually in switchbacks or blind apex). For a period I used no HUD but it became a little stupid trying to read some of the minor things on the dash and work out DRS so put it back. Wheel screens need to be scrollable next season like pCars motec or Indy car. So I can have a mirror back instead of HUD.
