We’re redesigning the Codemasters Forums – read all about it here!

Hello wonderful community! As we start a new year, we thought it’d be very exciting to also introduce… A brand new forum!

Now, before you worry too much, don’t worry; all of your profiles, sub-sections, topics and post histories will remain exactly the same – we’ll just be using a different, slightly shinier underlying system to give users, moderators and admins alike better functionality. We’re also having a clean-up of old private forums used for beta testing, so please expect the forums of yesteryear to disappear from your dash. Our wonderful RaceNet team have been working on this new version for quite some time now, and we’re so excited for you all to finally have a bang up-to-date, good-looking, easy-to-use and responsive forum.

However, here comes the catch – to update the forums properly, there will be some disruption to the current service as we transition over. We want to be transparent about this to ensure as smooth as a transition as possible, so here are some key dates for you:

• 1st February 2019 – the current version of the forum will become read-only so we don’t lose any user data or content in the transition
• 8th February 2019 – the new forum will begin a global roll out, which may take up to 24 hours in some regions of the world
• 9th February 2019 – the new forum will be available to use for all, using the same credentials that were used to log into the old forum

Just to re-iterate: your log-in details will stay the same as this information is linked to your RaceNet account, which won’t change. We know that a lot of you use the forum for general chitchat as well as game-related discussions, so we wholeheartedly apologise in advance for the inconvenience while this all goes on – but ultimately we believe you’ll find the downtime more than worth it once the new forum launches.

For important game stuff, we’ve got a number of different channels you can contact us on – so if something comes up that you want to discuss with one of the community team here, head to any of the following links to start the conversation with us:

It's that time of the decade again

I remember one of the original versions, back when I was hanging out in the F1 2010 threads

Thanks for answering part of my question that you have probably never even seen (here)!

Sucks about the downtime, will thread sub notifications transfer over?
Hello! So, I have an answer for you - they won't carry over, but the new system will provide you some additional options for your notifications. You can be notified when a new post happens, or have a weekly email with a digest of what has happened.  You can also enable push notifications which will pop up on your browser/phone when the thread/forum is updated. :)

Oh good, now i i can stop getting emails from threads i no longer wish to follow, and i'm betting only one update per sub'd thread for unread messages :)
