This just reminds me of a trip I was on once. I couldn't really sleep as we were on a boat without a room or whatever (can't really bother to google). When I eventually got home I fell asleep almost immeadiately and slept for around 20 hours. Was really weird waking up the next morning realising that I'm still dressed like I was in public.

Somehow I didn't get cold during that night of sleeping on top of the bedsheet 😁

Asleep for 20 hours? That's a long time! I don't think I have slept for that long and I would be annoyed if I had. Sleeping for a long amount of time than you need to, is a waste of time.

I was once slept the entire flight across the Pacific from Los Angeles to Sydney, just about 19 hours. I'd just had surgery on my back and was medicated and Dad and I had gone first class so I'd be comfortable so it was kinda like sleeping in a bed really. Was a bit weird though being shaken awake 20 minutes out of Sydney lol.

My back got hurt initially by a kart racing shunt when I was 13 and when I was 14 I fell off a horse while crossing a creek and landed on a submerged rock, I was actually paralyzed from the waist down for several hours after but then regained full feeling but was in excruciating pain. The hospital here said they couldn't perform an injection of steroids/cortisone into my spine for the pain as at the time it wasn't a legal procedure in Australia (is now). We were told by the spine specialist that THE expert in the world was working from a Hospital in Los Angeles and since my family has a bit of cash, my parents decided to fly me there and have it done. It absolutely worked too, if I'd healed normally the pain would've lasted 6-8 months and i would've found walking difficult too, so would've been in a wheelchair for 6 months or so. I was walking normally 2 weeks after the injections and back racing Karts a few months later (much to my mothers horror), today I still have issues with carrying weight, so no lifting boxes or carrying backpacks. I can only hold my great nieces and great nephews while sitting too but its better than being paralyzed which apparently I got very close to. 🙂

Oh dear me, that sounds terrible. At least you are not paralyzed. That would have really messed up your life, @KittyFit90🙂

Weigh in this morning 61kg! Hopefully I will be under 60 by the end of the week when my wife joins me here. Last night I had fresh crab and salad, today more crab and salad...the diet is so much easier here...the tiny supermarket here, doesn't have any of the naughty things I would normally be eating at home. The only thing I have to be careful of here is the fish and chip shop, so far I've only been once 🙂

@KittyFit90, if I were you, I would probably be visiting the fish and chips shop, at least once a day! 😅 😂 🤣

It is tempting but I really have to get to a more healthy weight...I got 11 kilos to go!

My wife is coming tomorrow! SO excited haven't seen her for two weeks. I've had to ask her to bring me a whole heap of my old clothes from before I got fat, as I'm struggling with my fat lady clothes that I have with me  (pants falling down cos I'm too skinny for them yay!). Still got a long long way to go until I'm back to the point I was 4-5 years ago when I was still buying clothes from the girls section!

Haha my wife got stopped by the police twice on her way over. We're banned from going away for Easter but as she's ADF (RAAF in her case) she was exempt from the restriction. Anyway I'm so pleased the first thing she said to me was 'oh look at you so thin!, wow well done kitty" and then I got a big hug...one of those ones where she lifts me clean off the ground cos I'm so short lol.

@KittyFit90, was she pulled over twice by the police, because of the Coronavirus lockdown and she is supposed to stay in doors?

ColinMcRae:DiRTFanNo.1

Yeah were not allowed to travel for easter because of the Covid19 lockdown but she being in the defense forces makes her exempt from that. The gist of that is that since shes been on active duty for 2 weeks (ie living at the RAAF base and not going home) that they deserve the opportunity to see family wherever they may be.

Funny story, this morning I did my morning beach walk as normal, same guys as normal out fishing/crabbing, till today they have never said anything but good morning by way of greeting and have really ignored me. Anyway I'm walking while my missus was running and I saw them all turn and stare and follow her with their eyes up the beach I thought I'd be cheeky and when I walked by said 'nice view this morning' hahaha they all blushed and looked embarrassed!!! got them good 😄

I am so sore, wife had me running in the loose sand on the beach. My calves ache and then she spent the whole time I was doing a class today snickering under her breath at how much of a 'total nerd' I am...then asked "How can you possibly discuss for an hour such absurdly obscure stuff, at no point did I have any idea what you or any of the students was talking about". :classic_angry: Ok so maybe Pleistocene evolution isn't the most riveting topic, but it is critical for a paleontologist to understand!

Skype yeah, shes all ready to 'watch' me teach again, something about me being 'so cute' being a professor. Someone needs some payback if only I could think of something appropriate for the crime :classic_cool:

@KittyFit90, I think that a bucket of water above a closed door is the perfect trick, so when the door is opened, she gets splashed! 🤣 😂 😅 😄 😃 😀 😉 😊 ☺️ 🙂
