Some real petty things being thrown around now. "Right back at ya, buddy.
KRTheIceman
German / Finnish brought up in Monaco. I wouldn't say he's German although he can choose through his dual nationality. He used to race as a Finn.
GoldenColt
Plus, this is what he said a few years ago:"I don't think of myself as being Finnish but I don't really think of myself as being a German either. It is not like the Brazilians, who have this big patriotic thing. I don't have that and I guess in a way it's unfortunate."And here's the article:http://www.grandprix.com/ft/ft15618.htmlBut yeah AMS, nice try. Ever wondered why so much BS is being published? It's coz of people like you falling for that sort of nonsense.
AMSKRR
No, that is a plain insulting and ignorant comment thrown at his "friend". EDIT: Well, he did say it so it's not like I've fallen for some kind of lie. It isn't really that that bothers me, it is that Hamilton is very ignorant. Not being funny, but is Hamilton really British then?
buttonfan
FRIC could be gone from next racehttp://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/114881This will be really interesting, it's believed the FRIC is one of the main reasons Mercedes dominates. Doubt it. If they use FRIC as much as they did last year, it would most probably mess with the brake by wire too much to get any advantage of it.I predict the teams will agree to keep the FRIC the way it is until the end of the season. However, if they do agree to ban it from Germany onwards, Mercedes will continue to dominate. You heard it here first. ;)

AMSKRR
Like with the blown diffusers, I'm not sure it is really fair to ban something your car is designed around mid-season.But I wouldn't mind it if ended the Mercedes domination
buttonfan
Αpparently Red Bull and Mercedes have the best FRIC systems so they will lose more, while McLaren (mostly) and Ferrari will gain due to having problems with setting FRIC up.

Yes but his grand parents (moved over in the 1950's) were not even British on his dads side, so he can't really talk about heritage like that. It really doesn't matter. My point is, he is hardly in a position to say things like that and he should learn to talk less.
RevolvingPrawn
Hamiltons comment didn't come across as ignorant to me. Rosberg is not 100% German. Born in Germany yes. When he was a kid he raced under a Finnish flag, he's lived in Monaco most of his life, and only started racing under a German flag because it was easier to get sponsorship. So stop trying to pick apart everything he says, he's not wrong. Moderator MBKF1 Posted July 8, 2014 Moderator Share Posted July 8, 2014 Yeah, as Prawn said, I don't think that was ignorant at all. I can't believe anyone could think that that could be classed as 'ignorant'.

I guarantee you, if they ban it now, the situation at the front won't change. In fact, the gap might even become bigger. This whole FRIC-issue is overblown to bring some tension back in the championship, but it won't happen. However, this is just what I believe. I don't say that this is a fact and how it's going to be. KRTheIceman
Look guys, we know Rosberg isn't 100% German. But it's clear that Hamilton mentioning it now before his home race is a dick move.
GoldenColt
Not more of a **** move than parking the car in Q3 I think. It's not like Nico is going to lose the chance to grab pole because of all that. And I doubt there will be less germans supporting him. Not that there will be many because let's face it: Rosberg is never ever going to be even close to as popular in Germany as Schumi or even Vettel. GoldenColt
Wow, what a comeback. Context? Was Nico instructed to lie to the stewards? Did Lewis ruin anyones race back then?Sometimes you just make it way too easy for me. #-o
KRTheIceman
It wasn't a comeback.. Coming from the one who changes driver allegiances per session lol. Besides he ruined Trulli's race.
GoldenColt
Wow, another badass comeback. But sadly for you, I didn't change driver allegiances at all. I went from supporting Hamilton to, well, supporting Hamilton.
KRTheIceman
Well we all know that isn't true. It clearly means a lot to you, maybe you should get a hobby. Goodbye.

His grandparents are/were not British, that is a fact. Just the same as mentioning that Rosbergs dad is Finnish not German, how is that racist? I hate it when people get accused of being racist over things like this when it is true. I'm certainly not racist, I'm stating facts. It doesn't matter though, I'm just saying. The only reason I have an issue is because it is hypocritical and it is not nice to say when it is his home race next. He is half German by blood and half Finnish so yeah. He speaks fluent German and supports German things. But it doesn't matter. Really.
GoldenColt
@KRTGetting personal as soon as you've got nothing better to say, eh?But good to know spending your time talking about someone you obviously can't stand isn't getting into the way of your hobbies. Goodbye to you aswell.
Mexicola
Definitely overblown, but it doesn't detract from the fact that it was a stupid thing to say, whether it was an intentional dig or not.
