!! Following is at your own risk so backup your files first !!

Fore those (livery creators) who want to test their Peugeot 206 Rally livery with correct 3D model but without bumper deformation, tyres in road and incorrect interior etc., I did the following:

First of all I used the Peugeot 208 T16 R5 as a placeholder for the Peugeot 206 Rally.

I renamed and replaced the following files from the 206.nefs to the 20r.nefs file:
- 206_highLOD.pssg (3D model of the car)
- 206_AO.pssg (shadow under the car)
- 206.nd2 (corrects the wheels although not perfectly at the front)

If you also want the interior to be correct and all the camera angles then rename and replace the following files:
- All files you can find in the interior map (corrects the interior, dummies, animation etc.)
- cameras.xml (corrects camera internally and externally)

The custom made Valentino Rossi livery i placed in the external car folder 20r.

Enjoy, have fun, stay safe and at home :classic_biggrin:

Hello rallygamer !

First of all, thank you for your discovery ! The 206 is my favorite car and I have all the assets to make customs liveries so it lacked only the access to the file nefs to make them. Thanks again 🙂

I followed your tutorial to test in the game but neither stage or Dirt Fish arena does not load... I missed something ? (I didn’t change the cameras).

did you renamed the files from 206 to 20r that go into the 20r.nefs file ?

Yes, I rename the files but the loads never end :classic_sad:

Not sure if it matters but i used the 0.4.0. nefs tool instead of the older or newer ones. I tested it again and also in the dirtfish free roam area but no problems found. The only thing i can think of you accidentally replaced to many files or accidentally replaced a file with another file that is not the same. I did not tested the mod online so not sure what happens there, mod only tested in time trial, free roam and custom.

I noticed that my manual might not always work. When i was editing the Porsche and used the Evo X as a placeholder my manual didn't work and game crashed. When i used the Peugeot 208 as mentioned in the manual as a placeholder it worked without problems. So for some reason choosing the placeholder is important although not sure what the criteria are.

Here is my new livery, made an update to the existing Porsche in the game.

@RallyGamer, thanks for the 'tutorial'! It works like a charm now as you can clearly see from the images! 😄

Again just only one start, but this livery is cool in my opinion. 😁

The actual driver, Adielsson, shared this livery in a group on FB yesterday. He loves it 👍

You can sort of hack replace the audio on non DLC cars.  However, from what i can understand of your request, you're saying the Porsche and 306 are imitated sounds?
