DiRT Rally 2.0 - V1 - found a bug? Post it here!

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

Rather excitingly, DiRT Rally 2.0's Deluxe Edition launches on 22nd February 2019 - a mere 2 days away! For those of you who are diving into the game ASAP, please let us know here if you clock anything odd - any glitches, bugs, connectivity issues, etc - anything appears to have slipped through the cracks our end.

Please ensure you provide the platform you're playing on and as much detail as possible about the issue you're faced with - screenshots and video are welcome if it helps to illustrate the issue. 🙂

Thanks,
Christina

@ChristinaMc can you confirm whether or not ai can be adjusted in career mode (rally) and whether or not we can select hardcore damage for the same mode?

I've seen seen streams where people are unable to locate these settings. Is it intentional or a bug, or are the streamers being sausages and just not seeing the options?

Hi there! well, my 1st try will be tomorrow, but i can say one thing already now: I've heard pace note calls (from vids on yt) both in english and italian (my language) and i noticed english calls are kind of: "six left don't cut...". in italian vids (PS4 version, i haven't found italian pc streams) the same i've heard: "sei sinistra non tagliare (six left don't cut). The problem is that i (we all) never heard an italian codriver call this way, an italian codriver say "sinistra sei non tagliare (left six don't cut)"... the radius is always called after the direction, in the same way it happen in the first Dirt Rally (other Dirt titles and other rally games). I'm not sure this thing can be considered or not a bug (maybe it is a choice), and after all we can get used to it, but it would be more natural for italians drivers to hear calls with direction first and radius following the direction. 🙂

Indeed, I'm not italian but I remember the italian codrivers call it the way you're saying on WRC videos, like here:

I think that's just the way Phil Mills does it and they did the pacenotes the same way for all languages.

uhm, yeah probably you're right... in case: we just have to adapt! i tried to hear french calls (always on yt) to verify but I didn't understand anything 😜

there are codrivers who calls 1 for fast corners and 6 for narrow corners so.... that's okay this way!!!!

I checked and he does say "right 6", but I think that's because the French and German localisations have professional co-drivers, so they adapted the pace notes themselves.

Hello! AI can't be adjusted for Career - it starts easy and gets progressively more difficult as you reach the top tiers of competition. However, if you're playing a Custom/Rallycross Championship, it's super easy to change the AI level - you find the option and wait for the next race to start before it comes into effect.

Thanks for the feedback - I'll pass this back to our localisation team. 🙂

Any light on the hardcore damage on career mode?

The tyres barriers on RX tracks are like fixed walls. They should be heavy and movable. if they moved, reload the for the next lap to avoid any cheating possibilities.

XB1 sound cut off completely driving at 90 mph down a dark track. After spitting my tea everywhere before colliding with a tree I thought it best if I logged it.

Game doesnt seem to provide an option that selects the appropriate transmission type for the car.

i.e. I have an h-pattern shifter and clutch, as well as sequential shifters on the wheel.  In Dirt Rally 1 (and F1 2018) you could set the game so it would enforce the appropriate transmission type.  For example, h-pattern and clutch for the Ford Escort and sequential shifting for the R5 polo.

Has this been overlooked?  Are we expected to go into the settings each time and change the transmission type to suit the car we are driving?

I have V-Sync turned off, and the refresh rate is set to 99hz, but the frame rate seems capped at 60fps.

there is really a problem with the ffb, I have a logitech g25, and I verify that in dr1 the ffb is perfect (you feel that all the terrain, the grip, the sliding, everything), here in dr2.0 is not of the good, there are many missing sensations

I feel almost the same. Just don't feel/get enough information from wheels. I'm using Fanatec Clubsport..

I had one issue where the throttle would oscillate or vibrate, which affected throttle sound and rev line visual. Unsure whether it's my end or yours, but all other sound and visuals were fine.

If it happens again I'll record it

Also Phil's pace notes seem to go very loud and out of place sometimes for no reason (not speed or aggression related) almost as though he's recorded them later and patched them in.

Other than that, so far so brilliant.

Oh, I'm on ps4 pro, using t300.
